Great lil pistol. 100 rounds into the suggested break in period and only had 1 fte. Comes with night sights, case, 3 mags and safety lock with paper work. Handles the recoil of the 40cal pretty good considering the size. Front grip texture is aggressive so grip it tight. It will take some more practice with this gun to control it better. I am very pleased in this gun no complaints from me. Also the PM models come with lifetime warranty over the 5 year warranty on cm models. Just so you know one of the difference in models I didn’t know at time of purchase.

The Kahr PM40 with night sights is a beautiful gun. Like all Kahrs, very stiff out of the box and will require a bit of break-in before trusting it for carry. I have several Kahrs with night sights and they all have come with Meprolight Tru Dots. This model comes with Trijicon night sights if that matters. Pay no attention to the previous poster regarding the Kahrs chambered in .40 S&W. I have a few Kahrs in .40 and with the right break in, the guns are every bit as reliable as the 9mm version. Well worth the money to learn and master these little American made beauties. I highly recommend....but only to those that are willing to invest the time to learn and understand them. If you are one that buys a gun and runs to the range and then complains that the guns is not reliable, no Kahr pistol is for you. I spend hours racking the slide of any new Kahr pistol and buffing the barrel, feed ramp and chamber with Mother's Mag Polish before the gun ever fires a round. And I have zero malfunctions in my Kahr pistols.

Go with 9mm on Kahrs. The .40 S&W rounds had consistent FTF and some FTE with multiple FMJ or ball ammo. I suspect the flat nose of the round caused the issues, because there were ZERO problems with all self defense rounds, which all have a rounded or shorter nose than .40 S&W ball ammo. Sent back to Kahr, they replaced barrel (thinking it was the ramp) and still the issues continued. Traded in on Kahr CM9 and I am MUCH pleased!!!!

A:Put it this way, if you’re recoil sensitive I don’t recommend this, UNLESS you practice practice practice. This thing is “snappy.” It is great for concealment, though, obviously. I have shot this but have not conceal carried it. If you’re recoil sensitive I would try some recoil reduction ammunition, because 40 S&W out of a polymer framed pistol with a 3” barrel packs a little hit but nothing crazy. If you’re not recoil sensitive, this should be fine. If you can handle 45 ACP and 357 magnums then this will be fine.
