It was an okay gun. It was very Ammo particular and if you didn't fire CCI mini mags it would jam every other shot. S0 unlike most guns i was pretty well handcuffed to buying Mini Mags and that's it.

Eeeeeek! Unless you are willing to do some work on it i would steer away. if you are looking for a reliable .22 don't buy this. really can only shoot CCI Mini Mags. Apparently to get this to function correctly you need to polish the feed ramp, if you aren't willing to invest the time don't buy. Definitely not SIG quality. When or if you can get this thing functioning it is a great training gun.

I have never had a issue with anything I have purchased from buds gun shop . They are always very prompt and very helpful in the phone . Every question ,whether it be on the phone or through email has been very prompt and helpful in every way . No issues with either handgun I have purchased . I love both my Sigsauer handguns . Looking forward to purchasing in the future .

decocker doesn't work. Won't go back together after field stripping. I haven't even fired it yet. Nice paper weight though.

    Jason,
Sig, to the best of my knowledge is no longer selling the Mosquito. In fact they never did actually manufacture this model. It is made by a German company that makes air and paint ball guns. Although it looks a lot like a slightly scaled down version of Sig's 226 its cheaply made. The gun is made out of zinc alloy and is prone to constant miss-feeds and jams. There are slew of videos out there on how to polish down the feed ramp lip to prevent it from catching the edge of 22 cartridge cases as it slides into the chamber. Also angle of the feed ramp may be a little to steep causing the bullet nose to slam into the top ledge of the chamber deforming the lead. I did the ramp modifications, but it helped only slightly. In my opinion, copper plated (generally more expensive) rounds feed a little better than lead and lead with "anti friction" coatings but its still hit or miss with this handgun. I would advise you to browse Bud's site and look at some of the other 22 cal handguns. I gave up on my Mosquito and eventually settled on a Ruger SR22 from Bud's. There are a lot of other choices at Bud's but I again would stay away from the Mosquito. There are some folks that have had good luck with them out of the box, others had to make modifications to make it work, and others like me had no luck in spite of making fixes.
