A:Larry - This Series 80 R1 1911 comes with two 7 round magazines. Any single stack 1911 45acp magazine of 7, 8 or even 10 round capacity will work fine with it. (the 10 round mags will protrude below the grip). I've found the best magazines to use are Wilson Combats, Tripps, McCormicks and MecGars, and honestly can not recall the last time I had a mag related malfunction (mag problems are the main source of 1911 troubles, it seems). in any of my 1911s - in literally thousands off rounds.See 2 more answers | -
