"BUYER BEWARE - These people will send you a broken gun and then send you to the manufacturer like they don’t even care and it’s not their problem. Extremely rude chat representatives, completely threw $400 in the garbage. Bunch of thieves "

Nice to have such knock down power in a conceal carry platform

My second CM45. Great little pistols. Crazy accurate. No bigger than a Sig 365. Highly suggest being patient during the break-in period (which is required for these pistols). This particular gun never missed a beat. The CM45 I purchased prior took some breaking in, revealing an issue with a bent trigger bar, which Karh quickly remedied. I shoot 230 grain Federal HST. I used that and some Golden Saber, Got Dot, and Black Hills during break-in, all 230 gr. The gun is designed to shoot full power loads. If shooting practice FMJ stuff and experiencing problems, I suggest feeding it what it was designed for. Highly suggest this pistol.

Had been wanting this pistol for some time. Hesitant to pull the trigger due to some unfavorable reviews. After finding this particular pistol at Bud's for an amazing price, I figured what the heck. Gun was at my FFL in less than 48 hours. First thing I did was strip the pistol down. I immediately noticed some plastic milling shavings along the guide rails and floating about inside the pistol frame. Those were easily removed by hand. I removed much of the factory lubrication and applied my own trusted lubricant and reassembled the pistol. On the range, I was experiencing a failure to strip the cartridge out of the magazine about once/magazine or so. Knowing that micro guns, especially 45s, are subject to malfunctions until broken in, I continued to fire full power defensive loads. By the time I had reached a hundred rounds, that particular malfunction had remedied itself. At about that time, I started experiencing another malfunction. Consistently, The trigger was failing to reset after the fourth round fired from each magazine. Very odd. This peculiar malfunction occurred 17 times consecutively. It was so consistent, I began videoing these malfunctions. I sent the pistol back to Kahr along with a thumb drive containing those videos. I had the gun back in 4 days with an explanation that the trigger bar had been adjusted. Since that day, I haven't experienced one malfunction with this pistol. I'm estimating approximately 750 rounds through this gun since the repair with no malfunctions. This is now my daily carry pistol. I am 100% confident it will function if needed. It's the perfect size for carrying. As far as exterior dimensions go, it is nearly number for number the same size as my Sig 365. If you're able to carry a 365 comfortably, who wouldn't carry this pistol instead? It's a 45! It's a no-brainer. It is also insanely accurate. During the break-in, I was putting round after round through the same hole over and over. Im so impressed with the size, function, and accuracy of this pistol that I bought a second one. Note to anyone thinking of purchasing this or any micro or sub compact pistol, especially in a bigger caliber; Do not condemn these pistols until you've put 250 or 300 FULL POWER defensive loads through them. These are not range guns. These are designed from the ground up for a very specific purpose. They are not built to be nail-drivers (though this particular offering is), they are not built to digest a steady diet of cheap ammunition, and they are not built to be comfortable all-day shooters. Consider what the gun is built for before condemning the gun. So many reviews mention; harsh recoil, its too loud, it doesn't hold eleventeen rounds, my pinky finger doesn't fit on the tiny grip.... None of these things are much of a concern when a threat presents itself. You train to take care of the threat much like a reflex. I highly doubt you'll concern yourself with hitting your bad guy in the right ventricle when you were aiming for his left atrium. If only that pinky finger had fit on that tiny grip, mayhaps you could have hit what you were aiming at. Sheer goofiness. If you buy a micro or sub compact in a major caliber, take the time to break it in and break it in right. You'll probably be surprised at how great most of these little guns run. By the way, the second pistol I bought never malfunctioned, not even through the break-in period. It has yet to malfunction after 500 rounds. I highly suggest this pistol.

I had to send back to Kahr for feed problems. Taken care of completely by Kahr including shipping working perfectly ever since. Great customer service.

I really loved this little pistol but it didn't like my reloads because of it's tight tolerances. It was a fantastic carry piece for a 45.

Overall I really like this gun, finally. If you're expecting a gun with Glock like reliability right out of the box, this isn't it. If you're willing to work at it then you will be rewarded. First the bad. The recoil spring is incredibly stiff. If you have any weakness in your hands or any sort of infirmity such as arthritis you'll be in trouble. Yes it gets a little better with use but its tough. Secondly you have to find ammo it likes. I have a practice load that I've shot in many different 1911 style handguns that won't eject in this Kahr. I've also shot some 230 grain hardball that would throw the brass straight at your forehead. Definitely not fun! Last of the bad is the fact that it only comes with one mag and spares can be expensive. Now for the good stuff. Once you fire enough that it finally gets broken in, it will become very reliable with the right load and its a good shooter for a "pocket" gun. The trigger takes some getting used to but its very smooth and consistent. Think of a double action revolver trigger except lighter and smoother with absolutely no stacking what so ever. The size is unbelievable for a 45 acp. With the CM45 you have serious firepower in a very concealable package. The recoil is very light for a small 45 acp. I'm not sure how they pull that off but it's very manageable. Now that I've put in the time and effort I really like the gun and I can see it becoming a regular in my lineup of EDC guns.

Surprisingly, I mean jaw dropping disbelief with the small amount of recoil generated by this weapon. Shot 50 rounds in half an hour with a smile on my face and a pain free hand! Who woulda thunk that!

As always, working with Bud's was a pleasure. And the quality of the firearm purchased is excellent.
