I've shot a lot of rounds through this gun, and it's been amazing. It is a very easy gun to shoot accurately, and I'm extremely happy with it. Zero malfunctions, and I even shoot the cheap stuff from time to time. I don't holster it, but the finish hasn't worn down at all and it still looks brand new.

Shipped super fast. Please note this is a standard P229-1, the model number indicates a LE type package with 3 magazines and no E2 grip removal tool. It is not a Legacy slide version. Otherwise an excellent price on a superb pistol. Cleaned, lubed and ran 100 rounds of Speer Lawman 147gr FMJ and 50 of Got Dot 147 JHP ammo through the pistol. No problems and very good accuracy. I've claened again and installed a Streamlight TRL-7, the pistol is ready to go to work.

I can say nothing bad about my new sig p229. Very well balance firearm. Feels great in my hand. Very smooth slide. Shot about 500rds so far. Not a problem one out of it. Being so well balance the front sight comes back on target extremely quick. And pretty good conseal to carry side arm. Would highly recommend it.

The P229 is a superb pistol. This model is really the P229-1, since it uses a slightly improved grip with a slightly larger magazine, with a capacity of 15 rounds versus the old P229 standard of 13 rounds (in 9mm). The basic mechanics of the P229 (and other P-series Sigs) is near perfect in design and execution. Mine has no flaws, tool markings, etc. Sig really makes a great pistol. Range performance is flawless, too. Accuracy is phenomenal. The sights are large, with bright nigh-sights, and target acquisition is fast. If you are looking for a completion shooting gun, consider the P229 with the SRT; otherwise, the P229 (e.g., this version) is actually better for self-defense and home defense that the SRT. As always, Bud's price is the best. I searched for days and could not find this pistol anywhere else for a lower price.

I recently purchased this firearm with Bud's layaway plan and their customer service is very helpful. In this day and time it is hard to find good customer like Bud's Gun Shop. They are super! The firearm is excellent and has great ergonomics. It comes packaged with everything that Bud advertises. I field stripped and cleaned it immediately upon receipt. No issues found. It appears to be a high quality firearm and I expect it live up to Sig's reputation once I take it to the range.

As usual Buds was outstanding. It took about a week from when I purchased to bring the pistol home...and that was with the July 4th weekend in between and me paying with an e-check! The pistol itself is outstanding. Though that goes without saying for a Sig. Came in a cardboard box with 3 15 rd mags and e2 grips. Had a small knick in the handle but it is a work pistol so I wasn't too upset. The only issue I had was the firearm appeared to have been stored in a hot warehouse for some time. The grips were a little loose and made the pistol feel slightly unstable. Pulled them off, put two small strips of e-tape along the inside of them and they were good to go! This firearm is the Cadillac of compact service pistols. Nights sights are outstanding and the trigger break is like breaking a glass rod. All of that for under $800? If you know anything about firearms, you know this is a opportunity you cant miss.

I couldn't be happier with the pistol. It arrived in a black Sig cardboard box with night sights and three fifteen round magazines. The pistol had the new E2 grips and the new slide design. If I had to guess I'd say, for the price, these must have been destined for a law enforcement agency but were sold to the public instead. Maybe a cancelled contract or overrun? Either way, it is a good deal.

Picked mine up from my local FFL on 4/4/14. As others said mine also came with three 15 round mags and black E2 grips. Mine came with a cardboard Sig box (not the normal hard case) with lock and manual included. Also has Sig night sights. Great price for this package!

Picked this up from the transferor yesterday. It was brand new and in perfect condition. Mine came with black grips and 3 fifteen round mags. Everything on it works perfectly. The action is smooth and the trigger pull is not at all heavy. I have medium large hands with short fingers ( large cadet size golf glove ) and it fits my hand very much like a CZ 75. It points like my finger and shoots where I point. Trigger reset is pretty short and the double action trigger pull is well within my reach. I probably won't need a SRT or a short reach trigger on this one. Buy one before they're gone. At this price, if you don't like it you won,t loose any money.
