it is a single action very small 1911 style gun

David - it is single action based on John Browning's original 1911 design, however the trigger mechanism is substantially different than the original 1911's and actually pivots on a pin, rather than being a 'push' type trigger like the 1911. Many are installing aftermarket trigger upgrades due to the relatively bad trigger action on this pistol straight from the factory.

This little dude is bad a**. It sights right out of the box was spot on. It has a very nice trigger pull and 7 plus 1 in a compact is a big plus for this little guy. Would not expect anything less from Kimber. Solid shooter and been my truck gun. Great Micro and all of the quality you expect from Kimber. Good job Kimber!!.

I tried foreign ammo with it and found it was picky. Have another micro 9 that worked fine with the same ammo, not broken in so can't condemn. It functioned perfectly with American made ammo so am pleased that should work out with use. Couldn't pass it the deal with extra mag and holster.
