Ruger Vaquero Talo Exclusive 5.5" 44mag Revolver - Stainless/Silver, 5.5" Barrel, 6 Rounds

This revolver is absolutely beautiful! Until it arrived, I had never seen one like it. The polished finish is superb. I can't find anywhere that was missed. The grips are not perfectly fit to the frame, but the amount of under size is pretty much uniform. Therefore, the fit issue is not detracting from the beauty of the gun. The action is smooth and the trigger is crisp with virtually no take-up.
The only gripe I have is in the specification. The gun is described as being built on a "Vaquero" frame due to the power of the .44 Magnum. Everything I've read says the gun is a "Vaquero" so why does the side of the frame say "Ruger New Vaquero"? It makes a big difference when ordering grips and certain other items. I'd be interested in knowing what the frame really is.
I'll keep this gun for ever. I love it! I just want to know what it is.

I have been to the range and have concluded that a .44 magnum is not as formidable as I have read. The gun is not only one chunk of steel it is beautiful as well. I am quite happy with the fit and finish. It was worth the wait which was the result of riots, looting and COVID-19. Bud's has an easy process. This Ruger has the feel of strength and quality and when that first .44 magnum goes off you know that you have released the fire-breathing dragon. After that the box of 50 disappears quickly.

While I own several Ruger rifles and handguns, this was my first purchase of a Ruger New Vaquero. This is the large frame .44 Mag Talo Exclusive. Not having actually seen or handled this model, in this caliber, before deciding to purchase it, I was pleasantly surprised. Some people on forums had felt it was too large, had some areas that were not polished as well as other areas, etc, I had none of these problems. This example is tight, polished evenly, feels good in the hand, and is accurate while offhand shooting. Certainly happy with this purchase, and plan to buy more.

Arrived new in box with the following issues, requiring immediate day of return to Ruger:
Broken pawl claws.
Damage to cylinder where pawls engage.
Rough, marred and damage to frame with poor finish lacking final polish in several locations. Top rear of frame near rear sight, left rear of frame near cylinder, all showing blemished damage.
Photos submitted to Ruger with a return. Awaiting to hear back on what they plan to do. Pistol was slated to attend me on a wilderness trek soon. Bad timing, poor QC. Get it together Ruger.

One bad 44 Magnum but the recoil it's not bad at all less than I expected and man this six shooter is a excellent work of ruger's Craftsman's of art

Beautiful "Cowboy" Pistol! As always, Bud's is my number 1. Fast delivery and a gorgeous firearm. I'll add more after I try it out this weekend. (Fit and finish are flawless.)

Awesome revolver! Timing and function are flawless. Grips have a wide solid feel to them. Fit and finish are perfect, no complaints. This is the big brother to the 3.75" version, they are identical other than barrel length.

Quality has apparently went down at Ruger. Micarta grips poor fit. Finish of stainless lacking. Grip screw holes with burrs almost like using wrong size screwdriver. Room for improvement.

Love this pistol, my dream. It's too pretty to shoot is the only bad to it
