Great gun. Changed the springs. Very accurate and eat Buffalo Bore all day long. Great protection against 2 or 4 legged predators.

I have several Blackhawks in various caliber and barrel lengths and this is a nice one. I like the 3.75" barrel, pulls nice from holster and with the bisley grip the sights line up great. I like the 45acp and enjoy shooting the round in carry pistols and target, so the extra cylinder is a definite plus. So I highly recommend this revolver. High quality as always from Ruger pistols.

Ruger makes excellent revolvers,overbuilt and sturdy,and accurate.I have another blackhawk in same switch cal. but not a bisley.This pistol handles great,not for rapid fire,but for controlled aimed fire it excells.I really like the short bbl.very good sights,and the fit of the cly to frame is outstanding,lock up is tight with no wobble at all.This is a good carry gun if you wish to carry a revolver,a bit on the heavy side.Ruger has very good service if a problem does pop up,quick turnaround for any type of service or repair.Buds always has what I want in stock, with a fair price.Buy one you will love it with the dual clys.....lots of fun.......

I bought this handgun as a sidearm to pack in grizzly country while hunting. It arrived in perfect condition and in no time I had it sighted in. It shoots 45 autos great and 45 colts too and it shoots the heavy 325 grain buffalo bores with no problem either, this thing is a shooter I couldn’t be happier. I’m gonna order it’s big brother in 454 casull next. Thanks again Buds

First of all I want to say thanks to Buds for the fast service and shipping. My revolver shoots and handles better then expected and my groups range from 2 1/2 to 3 inches at 50 yards. I shoot .45 acp primarily but like having the option of changing cylinders to shoot .45 LC as well. I really like the Bisley grip frame it seems to place my hand in the best possible shooting position.

This chunk of steel will rock your world and anything in it. Stuff it with some hard cast 300 GR lead moving 1150 feet per second and light it up. Clean cylinder and barrel before first use to avoid sticking brass.

I have this exact Super Blackhawk Bisley configuration in a .44 Magnum and it is my favorite revolver. So I had to have one of these .45 convertibles. The fit and finish is excellent. The Bisley grip frame is very comfortable and helps reduce felt recoil with heavy loads. The gun has excellent balance and it is easy to hit targets at 25 and 50 yards. I like having the convertible cylinder feature as you can shoot less expensive 45 ACP target loads at the range and still have the option of shooting heavy 325 grain cast bullets in .45LC for hunting. The only note of caution is if you are shooting handloads in the .45 ACP cylinder watch that you have enough crimp on the bullet since it headspaces on the case mouth it may not fit completely in the cylinder if there is not enough crimp. I have had no issue with factory ammo in the .45 ACP cylinder. Overall this Ruger is an excellent addition to the collection.

Nice, strong revolver. I have shot both 45 acp and 45 Colt +P loads out of it and they both shot well. I bought this to carry while fishing up here in Alaska on the Kenai Peninsula, home to some pretty big bears. Hope I never have to use it for bear but I think with 45 Colt +P loads it will be a better choice than the 10mm I have carried in the past.
