I love this rifle. I've never owned a Henry rifle or any type of lever action rifle. I said to myself that I might as well "go big " and buy an expensive one rather than the basic one. Once I seen the Freemason model, I was sold immediatley! I am a master mason of my lodge. That's Lexington Lodge #104. Anyway, the rifle shoots very well. It is one heavy 22lr rifle. The action and trigger are smooth. I've shot nearly 400 rounds of 22lr and about 150 22 short without any issues. The engravings on the receiver and wood are great! Many people at the range always ask if they can take a closer look. The rifle's finish is just beautiful! The octagon barrel is very nice. The sights, well, I need practice. Otherwise, I was plinking what I wanted to plink. This rifle is definitely not a safe queen as I have taken it out a few times. It holds a bunch of 22lr, but holds even more 22 short. It's just simply well made. This is definitely one rifle to become an heirloom. Smoooooth action. I always here that about Henry rifles...it is so true. Well, I hope this helps.
