This was my second lever gun purchase through Buds Gun Shop. I had been looking for this specific model of a Cimmaron/Uberti reproduction of the Winchester 1873. Bud's made it easy. I registered to be notified when it was back in stock. I received an email, when they got a few units in inventory. I logged in and purchased it right away. Good thing I acted fast. Got the last one.
This model is chambered in .357/.38. The craftmanship is outstanding from the color case hardened receiver to the octagonal barrel that tapers to round, to the beautiful high grade walnut stock with cross-hatchings.
I also purchased a Henry Big Boy, and own a Rossi Model 1892. This 1873 is my favorite. The action is quite smooth and it shoots great. It is a true heirloom quality piece that I'll pass down to my son.

I've never really seen the point of rating a product until I've tried it out. This Texas Brush Popper rifle will be the exception. The rifle is everything it is advertised to be. It has that beautiful rugged 1873 look and feel. It is very well balanced and the action is smoooth (extra o for extra smooth). The fit and finish is very well done. This is no imitation lever action. It's the real deal. The octagon to round barrel with the PG is the topper. The walnut stock and fore-arm is gorgeous. It is already my favorite in looks, weight, balance and just a baddass little rifle. I can't wait to take it out for an afternoon of range time. I would love to have a whole cabinet full of these quality reproductions. Uberti makes quality firearms. I highly recommend this rifle for all the reasons I just mentioned. Get yourself one or two.
