Took This rifle to the range… This thing out performed my Winchester model 70. I know, it don’t make no sense, but it’s true…..

Purchased the 783 in a 308 for my primary deer rifle. Works great. No real complaints for the gun itself. I did get an additional recoil pad cover as the stock one is a little stiff. Did tag myself with the scope the first time I fired it, but after some adjusting didn't have that problem again. Shoots very accurately. Haven't missed a buck with it yet. Could consider a fancier scope, but the stock one is adequate for most ethical hunting distances. Really pleased overall, nice gun.

I wanted an entry level 308 bolt action rifle that was reasonably priced and it came with a decent scope. Required very minor adjustments right out of the box. The purchase price was amazing, the quality was excellent as the rifle never failed to fire and it hit the target zone with in the first three shots! This was another excellent experience with a purchase thru Buda. Thank you Buds for quality products, excellent prices and exceptional service!

Buds was great. Transaction was easy, shipping was fast. This gun is what it is. It’s not fancy, but what you’d expect for a $363 rifle. The stock feels cheap, workmanship/finish are ok, but the trigger has good reviews and lives up to its expectations. Upon arrival the crosshairs of the scope were not mounted perpendicular to the rifle, but slightly crooked. I took the scope off to line it up and noticed one or two screws barely tight, so everybody check your scope mounts. I took the action out of the stock and adjusted the trigger pull to make it even lighter. I don’t have a scale to measure it, but all I can say is wow! No take up or creep, and you better be ready to do business when you put your finger on it. I have several rifles, a couple with aftermarket triggers, and this trigger is better than all of them. Went to the range with 150 grain cheap ammo and set up on 50 yards just to see if I could hit paper. I had it on the bullseye after about 10 rounds. This rifle shot 1 inch groups using junk ammo at 50 yards with no sled, just propped up on my range bag. After about 25 rounds the barrel was hot to the touch. It started shooting high and to the right about 2-3 inches - not sure if it was the barrel or ammo. I put it in the case and went home. Tomorrow I’m taking it out again to set up at 100 yards with Hornady 150 grain whitetail ammo to see what it will do. All in all, I’d definitely recommend this gun for a budget hunting rifle.

A solid bolt action rifle that punches through to your target. Ergonomically design. Recommend using 223 Remington rounds to load 5 in each magazine. Pair up with a Bushnell dusk to dawn scope as well.

Easy to order and very fast on the shipping. Got it from my FFL and looked great and everything checked out during inspection. Took it out and had only a few clicks to have 2-1/2" pattern at 300 yards. It kicks like a mule but what would on expect from a 22" barrel. Quality gun from a quality shop. Remington and Bud's are a great choice.

Incorrect Michael. This rifle can only use 308/7.62x51 and not 7.62x39 which is an AK/SKS round. Choose your FFL dealer (Federal Firearms License)at the checkout: They cannot ship a gun direct to you, they do ship to the local FFL dealer of your choice. Any legitimate gun store or gun dealer has an FFL license; pawn shops and collectors may also have them.
Pick up your gun: Inspect your gun before accepting the transfer. If you are not happy for any reason leave the gun at the dealer. They will have it picked up for free and offer you an exchange or refund at no cost.
