Sorry but no this does not have a threaded barrel. You can always get it threaded by a gunsmith or they even make kits so you can do it yourself but if you've never threaded a barrel I'd highly recommend getting a gunsmith to do so. Hope this helps.

Matthew, unfortunately no Sir. This model has a non threaded 22 inch Cold hammer-forged barrel with a 1:8" RH Twist rate. It is a thin sorter barrel and usually at least a medium profile barrel is needed for threading. Threading would make a thin barrel too weak. Cheers and stay safe!

I am wanting a Ruger American standard in 6.5 creedmoor, is this gun still available? If not I plan on going to the 7mm-08, but really want the creedmoor

Martin, yes but recent surge is firearms buying has depleted stock. I would check on large gun and accessory sites like (6)un (8)roker, Armslist etc as discontinued and hard to find firearms and accessories show up for sale by private individuals and small shops. Just replace (6) & (8) with G & B.

Have you checked with Ruger? Is it shown on their website? Email them if they show it but you can’t find it. The manufacturer is the source to find out if a firearm is in production-not a gun store.

Accurate rifle but magazine is junk. Purchased a couple other new ruger magazines hoping to fix follower not pushing rounds to the top of mag after ejection. still had the same issue. I’d only recommend this rifle if ruger had better magazine for it. By the way buds was great!

This was my second Ruger American. The first one, in 7mm-08, is a few years older than this most recent one, and I love it. This 6.5 Creedmoor, however, seems to be very rough around the edges. There are deep machine marks on the back of the receiver and the mold lines on the stock are nearly unfinished, there are also scratches in the bluing on the barrel. Not sure if I just got a bad copy or if Ruger's fit and finish has gone down hill since my last American rifle. Still giving 4 stars because it does what you expect from a Ruger American: it shoots, and it shoots well. Sub MOA groups at 100 yds is certainly not out of the question!

Firearm as advertised, smooth bolt operation, great clip and easy load. Have already recommended this rifle to two friends whom I expect to purchase it.
