  Alice the overall length collapsed and extended is 35.13" - 38.63". Length of pull range from collapsed to extended is 12" - 15.50" so it should be good for a youth shooter..

• Q: Noticed there is an additional Model for the RPR22lr. Number 8401.
  Any difference between the 8400 & 8401 models? Thanks.

  The 8401 comes with a 10 round magazine the 8400 comes with 15 round mags other than that they are the same https://ruger.com/products/precisionRimfire/models.html

  My question would be: Is the Model 8400, Ruger’s 1st Generation? If it is, does Ruger plan on issuing further improvements/upgrades for this model and other RPR’s in the near future? Thanks.

  Joseph, this is a recent manufacture rifle so it would be the latest version. I am sure there will be improvements/upgrades coming down the pike on this due to the popularity of this rifle.

  This usually depends on the popularity of the firearm. Buds and other vendors usually place orders from distributors based on firearms "Sales" patterns. Buds will always try to restock firearms, especially "high demand" ones as quickly as possible. Since buds cannot give a specific time, just add the item to your "Wish List" and know that Buds is working diligently to get it.
