Thanks guys, put this gun on layaway and they held it for me as promised. I did receive the gun on time after I completed my last payment, there was a problem with the safety but sent it back to Taurus and they fixed it within a few days and now it works great.

Definitely will buy again from these guys.

I have shot over 150 rounds of Blazer "brass" ammo through my 1911 and love it. Not one loading, feeding or firing problem. very fun if your a steady, fast shot. very light weight, and SEXY!!! Taurus makes one fine gun. trigger pull is easy enough to anticipate, very repeatable and not as much kick as you'd think (no mules here) the one and only thing I wasnt happy about was how filthy the gun was when I got it home. it looked as if it might have been a used gun but I know better than that, however it was cleaner after I put my first (32) rounds through it, than when I first cleaned it. Other than that it is a great gun at a great price, I'm very happy I "pulled the trigger" and got this gun instead of others I was looking at. to quote a friend "dont ever let people tell you, you get what you pay for, Not the case here"

Well, first the bad: The weapon was absolutely filthy when I received it. After completely disassembling it I realized just how dirty it was. There was not a single piece that wasn't caked with gunk. When I got it all cleaned and reassembled I found out the other bad part: The Taurus PT1911 with the rail is shaped differently than any other 1911 with a rail. So much so, that no manufacturer makes a holster that will fit it. Except for Taurus, of course... The aluminum frame does feel noticeably lighter, and the trigger rattles a lot. On the other hand, Taurus DOES make a great 1911! It's a solid and reliable weapon. I especially like the adjustable Novak sights and the adjustable trigger, which I'll have to replace on mine, unfortunately. Overall, I'm happy with my gun. Great price from Bud's, of course, I just wish someone had noted the oddly-sized rail before. It probably wouldn't have changed my mind, but I hate being surprised...

WOW! This is the first gun I have owned but I have been around and fired many guns over the years. First round bullseye on a fairly small rifle target. I am impressed with this gun after firing a little over 100 rounds of FMJ and JHP. I had one FTF (light primer strike) but otherwise flawless. Well put together and very appealing looks. People won't believe the brand or the price based on the looks and performance. I am glad that I did not spend $400 more on a premium brand 1911. Thanks Buds and all of you who left reviews for this weapon.

After a lot of research, I bought the 1911ALR from Bud's and I am the happiest guy in town today. Bud's is a great place to buy from, they have a great in stock inventory. My 1911 shot just the way everyone said it would. Gun makers always clam their guns are the beat and Taurus has not over stated their case. The PT 1911 ALR is as beautiful to look at as it is to shoot, even the owner at the local range that did the transfer was amazed at how great the pistol looked. Thanks Bud's for as great deal on a great pistol I will be back as a customer. One of the best online transactions i have ever done.

After a lot of research, I bought the 1911ALR from Bud's and had it shipped. Three words...Buy this Gun! My third Taurus this year (24/7 OSS 45, Mill Pro 40, 1911 ALR), all have shot flawlessly.
The 1911 is one sweet gun, built on everlasting design, taurus has taken the ALR to another level of craftmanship. $618 compared to $+/-$2000.00 from a different manufacturer, no need to re-think your purchase here.
Some folks put Taurus down, this I don't get. I've owned guns from Taurus for over 15 years, never once have I had an issue of any kind. I think "other" people have too much money to waste or are just ignorant altogether.
There you go..............

After a lot of research, I picked up the 1911ALR at Bud's Paris shop and took it straight into their range. I can't think of a negative thing to say. I've put about 500 rounds through it now and have yet to have a glitch. It shoots just as good as my Dad's Colt 1911and the fit and finish actually looks a lot better. Dang good gun for the price.
