Very pleased with this gun, my first Taurus and my first 1911 but not my last. Feeds reliably and shoots smooth and accurate.

If you are looking for a cheap 1911 you have found it. I field stripped this gun when I bought it and immediately noticed all the tooling marks and poor machining, that being said most flaws are on the inside where they aren't as noticeable.I did not like the way Taurus hand engraved the barrel with the serial number (I think I could have done a cleaner engraving job myself). The finish scratches and wears quickly so I have already begun stripping it for duracoat. I give it 3 stars because of the decent price, smooth action and good trigger.

This is the first M1911 i have purchased and now own. I ordered it wednesday night and had it by late friday afternoon, so as always with buds they probably have the fastest shipping time out of "all" others. First impression was of pure excitement, this is a solid well built M1911 and has the great features of the more expensive ones i've looked up. Upon further review of the accessories i noticed the bore brush and the plastic wrench were missing. I did eventually find the wrench which was in a plastic bag with the spare magazine. disassembly/assembly proved difficult for me as a fisrt time user of the M1911. I did find a you tube video from taurus which proved helpful, and after many attempts and errors i finally got it right. The price of the weapon was almost $200 cheaper than the Taurus web site, so you'd be a fool not to purchse from buds if your into the M1911. The two supplied magazines; i could only load 8 rounds instead of the stated 9, probably due to the spring. Firing was great, i did managed to shoot about 80 rounds right out the box, with no FTF or eject. Overall I'm extremely impressed with the gun and with buds, and with this being the third gun i;ve ordered from buds, i will continue to use Buds for "ALL" my future gun purchases. Big salute to the Buds staff, especially the shipping department.

Previous experience with this firearm was great, however, this particular one has several manufacturing flaws. All of my issues are in the slide area. It binds when operating causing the slide to stay open. It binds in 2 areas. Where the barrel/chamber meets the slide and on a rail where a "pin" was drilled. Drilled too close and pushed out the area. Many sharp areas and burrs that will have to be rounded.
Wish I could add pictures.
But for the price and a little time polishing, still a nice little 1911

I purchased this Taurus 9mm on 11/12/14 and was delivered to my FFL dealer on 12/26/14. I will be buying quite a few firearms from Buds because no one could beat the price I paid for the Taurus. Now as for the gun, I took it out yesterday to the range and fired a 100 rounds through it. I must say it was very accurate and handled great. Love the feel and grip of this firearm. Thanks Bud, you have another happy customer.

Geez - I finally got the second Taurus 1991 9mm model 11911019 that I got from Bud's. About 200 rounds through this one with no issues tells me my second Taurus 1911 is going to be just as fantastic as my first. Maybe I should have gotten a third one...........Thanks, Bud's!

I'm thrilled with the Taurus 9mm model 11911019. It feels solid in hand and broke down for the initial cleaning pretty much like a typical 1911. I only have 100 rounds through it, but had absolutely no issues. The pattern was tighter than expected without any adjustments to the sights. Now, my only regret is that I probably should have bought two of these Taurus 9mm as I'd imagine these will go like hotcakes as folks realize the great value these are.

This was my first purchase from Bud's (hey these guys are really on the ball) and they really lived up to all the good things I've heard and read about them.

received teh pistol at dealer in less than 72 hrs. ordered at 8pm on wednsday and had it friday afternoon around 4pm. excellent handling by buds.
the pistol i received was flawless physically, did need heavy oil (probly cosmoline) cleaned out but whats ten minutes.
at this point ive ran around 300 rounds through it flawlessly. have a minor issue with the mags dropping a round when loading. drop the slide and then pull mag to top off tends to drop a rpound loose
in magwell. found some mags from mecgar that are on the way will see how they work. accuraccy is very good. using tula and american eagle hard ball at 25 yards the pistol holds 4 inch groups for 50 rounds. tried fiochi shoting dynamics 115 hp and remington bulk pack 115 hp. all fiochi into 4 inches but loaded so hot they scattered alot. the remington shot very well. ( 30 dollars per 100 at walmart)
shot theses in batche of 5 rnds. all into 2 inches with numerous groups in the 1 inch range, many though same holes. recoil is quite mild and rapid fire mags hold around 6 inches with point shooting
( 10 rnds in 10 secs) i would recomend this psitol to anyone looking for an excellent quality and very affordable pistol. ive owned numerous taurus firearms and with the exception of some early 327 magnum snubbies delivered to a dealer locally, theyve have always been dependable and accurate. again anyone... BUY THIS PISTOL

Buds service was great, had gun in my hands within a week. The gun required a good cleaning due to being covered in shipping grease. Afterwards I shot over 100 rounds through it with no issues at all! I have a Taurus 1911 in 45 as well and I am very impressed with both guns. Very accurate and groups were tight right out of the box! Do not hesitate to buy, it's a great gun.

This is my 3rd gun purchase from Buds and as always good service. I wanted a 9mm 1911 and there are not many choices. The Taurus seemed to be a good deal so I figured I would give it a try.

The gun was filthy when I got it and I mean filthy. It took me a hour to clean it up. LOoked like it had bearing grease in it. I assume due to the mfg location, shipping ect, that they pack them up at the factroy. Just be prepared to clean it first off.

The front sight was way off center to the left not sure why but easy enough to adjust..........about halfway through shooting at the range today, it worked itself loose.

The gun is fun to shoot, I only had 2 FTW's in about 250 rounds. I am please with the accuracy, trigger ect. Overall I reccomend this to anyone looking for a lower cost 1911 in 9mm to have some fun with.
