Thrilled with the feel and action of this piece, except when it fails to extract. At first, I had a malfunction about every two magazines. Now, it is up to about two per magazine. I have used five different manufacturers, Federal, American Eagle, and Winchester, 115 and 124 grain. I clean and lubricate my weapon (never the ammo) before and after ever time I use it. I have fired about 300 rounds through it.
When it does fire, it shoots low, but centered from the factory. It took a few dozen rounds to get my accuracy down as I have never fired such a short pistol before. My groupings are now almost as good as my other weapons. It seems to recoil more than heavier 9mm pistols, but not uncomfortably so.
I am sending it back to Kel-tec today, so, let's see how good their customer service is and if it works when I get it back.

Lightest and slimmest 9mm with 7+1. Reliable. Shot the LC9 back to back and this was much smoother than the LC9.

this gun is a total piece of crap. I had jam after jam from day one. I first contacted Keltec to talk to them and they assured me that all I needed was an extractor kit. They sent out the new extractor and the gun jams were even worse. I then sent the gun back to Keltec and got it back more than 2 weeks later only to find out it was worse than it was at first. After assurances that they would replace alll existing parts, after 5 more days the admitted to me that when testing the gun it still has problems. DO NOT BUY THIS GUN. IT'S NOT RELIABLE. BUD'S NEEDS TO STOP SELLING ALL KELTEC PRODUCTS THAT DON'T CONFORM TO QUALITY CONTROLS, WHICH IS MOST OF THEIR PRODUCTS.

Buds was great as usual.
HOWEVER, I could not through a single mag on this PF9 without a DOUBLE FEED, FAILURE TO EJECT OR FAILURE TO FIRE. It's very frustrating. Sending it back to Kel Tec.

No problem with the transaction. I have purchased numerous firearms from Bud's and have been well satisfied each time. In fact there has never been an issue with the performance of any of my weapons until now. I bought a Kel-tec PF-9 to use as a concealed carry but have no faith in it's operation. Just returned from the range and put close to 150 rounds of 115 grain 9mm ammo of 3 different brands to the test. Could not get through a single magazine without it being able to eject a spent round. The extractor failed to pull out the casing. Other times, it failed to lock back after the last round. Not a fun day at all. Anyway, I will be sending this pistol back to the manufacturer.

Picked this gun up for a nice little CCW,
I've heard that they are usually a little rough a round the edges with the plastic, especially around the trigger.
While mine has a few burrs (easily knocked off by sand paper) The trigger looked like Kel-Tec had already done it, Kudos for listening to your customer base.

The picture displayed is the incorrect one. This gun is a two-tone flat chrome slide / black frame. Its incredibly light weight and Kel-tec even threw in the pinky extender base plate!
Will continue to shop with buds and Kel-Tec for sure. Very happy customer!

smallest and lightest 9mm you will find. Great concealed carry gun for those that want more power than a 380 but still want to carry so comfortably that they don't even feel they are carrying. There is supposedly a break in period of 200 rounds which seemed unneeded to me as it was shooting any ammo I fed it out of the box. The CHROME FINISH IS VERY MUCH WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY as it is not only a superior protection for the gun but also makes the gun ridiculously easy to clean. For those not in the know hard chrome is not shiny, it is a dull grey color. there should be no problems getting it to conceal with its finish color.

Only drawbacks are due to it's size and weight it has a kick similar to a full size 45 and may jam if you are limp wristing. SO DON'T LIMP WRIST. As any subcompact it is double action only which to those who have not trained with revolvers or other subcompacts may be finding the trigger pull a bit difficult.

THIS IS A FIREARM DESIGNED FOR A SPECIFIC PURPOSE. It is designed to be small concealable weapon with reasonable power to be used for INSTINCTIVE defensive shooting. when i say instinctive I mean there is no safety lock to get hung up on and even though there are both front and rear sights (rear adjustable) you will not have any problems shooting it in an quick point and shoot fashion. Even the slide stop has been simplified to reduce the chances of it catching on something and to encourage use of releasing the lock be racking the slide.

If you are considering buying this or any subcompact I suggest you first try the grip out and trigger out at a local gun store before purchasing on bud as a lower price or desired finish. Most of the time the difference in a shooting experience with subcompacts is how well the individual shooter likes the trigger and the grip for that model.

P.S. As of the moment I am writing this the picture shown above for this weapon incorrectly shows a PF9 with a black slide not the hard chrome slide so don't be confused when looking at the picture.
