Mine arrived fast and painless, thanks to Buds. I also opted for the lifetime warranty, for any no-hassle returns. Pistol is very well made, and feels good in my hand. A good training tool for either the Plus I want to get in the future, or the PA-63 I already own. I tried a variety of ammo I had on hand, CCI mini-mag, Armscor HVHP, Aguila SuperExtra, Remington Cyclone and Remington 22 Viper. The manual says use high grade, high velocity ammunition in this weapon. I wanted to try some Winchester in it to see if it would work well, as I have heard that a lot of people have had issues with their ammunition in .22 auto pistols-- especially any Bulk type ammo and I guess that could be said of any Bulk, for many manufacturers. If you stick with the HV "good stuff", I don't think you'll have any issues. The only thing extra I did was give the gun a good cleaning, a touch of good gun lube on the slide...and don't know if it makes a difference, I placed it back in the box with the slide locked open for 2 days because I just didn't have time to try the pistol out. At first, I was not happy with the load assist on the mag and I was trying to load the mag like my.22 Ruger, which the button is more pronounced. I was using my fingernail to pull the thing down and was about to kill me. By accident, I decided to cup the mag and using 2 fingers, on each side of the mag on the buttons, made things ALOT easier to say the least and makes reloading a snap! Just pull down enough to load one bullet at a time and you will have a fun shooting experience. Again..very happy with this pistol so far, and if something goes South, Buds has my back.

Very accurate. Ammo sensitive. Only down side is that the metal finish on the slide is low quality. Aside from that it is a great little pistol.

I bought this for my wife knowing ahead of time it would not cycle standard velocity ammo, I tried anyway….It didn't…In fact Winchester 555 wouldn't even fire ???….Switched to high velocity CCI and American Eagle and ran several hundred rounds thru it and it never hiccuped…Great little gun, can't wait for the wife to try it at the range…Came by rocketship, was here in Florida in less than a week with Christmas included…Only problem I ever encountered at Buds was trying to get them to change a large capacity clip for a 10 round on a new pistol purchase and had to use another vendor who would….( I have a resident Florida concealed and a non-resident New York Concealed)….Outside of that I have made several purchases and no complaints….Bersa is a nice gun..Not as nice as my SR 1911 but nice ….

This purchase was my first online purchase with Bud's and the transaction went smoothly. I used they layaway option combined with the ACH payment method. The firearm is great but it does not like Wolf ammunition. It functions flawlessly with CCI ammo. The firearm is easy to take apart for cleaning. I would recommend this firearm to anyone looking for a 22 pistol. Thanks Bud's.

Good pistol, picky on ammo.
The most reliable ammo for the thunder 22 was CCI Stinger and Remington Golden Bullet 36gr.
Shot 500 rounds of the golden bullet and only had three malfunctions.
Winchester bulk and federal bulk jammed at every bullet fired.

Stiff hammerlock, and the slide lock is sharp to the thumb.

Beautiful workmanship. Only one magazine though. I haven't got to fire the weapon yet.

Great .22 and affordable practice for those who carry the Bersa .380 or anyone who wants a fun shooting pistol. It functions perfectly with CCI Mini-mags (500+ rounds) - don't count on bulk ammo stuff - so it will probably disappoint the more frugal shooters out there. The pistol balances well in the hand, good sights, intuitive operation, easy to field strip, and accurate! Considering Bud's price and relatively affordable cost of CCI ammunition - this is a five star winner.

I bought the Thunder .22 to compliment my Thunder .380. With the .22 I can spend all day at the range practicing without breaking the bank. I cannot say the same for the .380. I use my .380 for CC, but would have no compunction about using my .22. In close quarters. The .22 is a versetile and invaluable caliber.. You can get off 10 rounds in the time it takes to get off 2 "big bore" rounds. If you miss, which is more likeley with big bore rounds, you are in a world of hurt.

Getting out 10 .22 rounds in under 5 seconds gives you a distinct advantgage. The Israli Mossad uses the .22 for their sky marshalls. The .380 is the perfect self defense round for me. If you cannot incapacitate a perp with 7 rounds you have a problem. I looked at the 9mm but the cartridge is oversized for the gun. I have 2 Ruger P89s 9mms that I use as my car carry weapons. The P89 is appropriately sized for the caliber.

I am 5 ' 10 and 185 and find the ultra compact 9mm to be too snappy and miss much more frequently than with a .380. Larger bore guns are more appropriate for the military and law enforcement where you are usually shooting at a distant and moving target.

Very cool little gun. Haven't fire any yet... seems a little tight. Feel solid in hand ... For the price, it is quite good.

GREAT GUN! I bought this because it is similar in size to my Bersa .380 and makes target practice much cheaper. I read many reviews for .22 pistols before buying and this gun had the highest ratings. The big concerns seemed to be misfeeds and misfires. I have run several hundred rounds through the gun without a single problem. I have tried different types of ammo and they have all worked fine. I would definitely recommend this gun for anyone wanting a .22 pistol.
