What is the difference between this TRP 1911 and the Loaded 1911? Both are ca compliant, stainless and appear to have all the same up grades. But there is almost $500 difference in price???

Hi Shannon, the number is stock has nothing to do with the price difference. The Loaded model has a MSRP of $1055, and the TRP has a MSRP of $1732, so naturally one will be significantly higher than the other. The Loaded has 3 dot sights, TRP has Three-dot tritium sights. The TRP has Aggressive 20 line-per-inch checkering on both the mainspring housing and frontstrap and forms a hand-filling continuum alongside the rugged G10 grips for a flawless shooting foundation, also comes with Cocobolo grips. The TRP has a blended magwell. I'm sure there are things I missed. Hi Shannon and welcome. The difference in price has more to do with number of each in stock than anything else. Buds prices are tied to stock level and similar/same items lower in stock will be priced higher than lower stock same/similar items and vice-versa. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

Does this model have the 20 lpi checkering on the front strap ?

What makes this any different from the other Springfield 1911’s to make it compliant?

Hi Kevin, The Loaded Chamber Indicator also...get this. The Grips. I'm in Ca too and the grips alone cause them to not be Ca compliant.

The LCI plus all the money that Springfield had to pay the CA government for testing and certification to be included on the CA DOJ approved list

This is the TRP Stainless it looks exactly as you see it is in the picture above. The gun goes bang and is very fitted and i shot very well with it using 230grain 45, has a little kick but not to harsh, The front checkering is super rough it will hurt your hands, but after awhile it is ok. For those that are confused this model here only comes with the trp pistol, hand bag 2 mags and gun lube sample from lucas. if you want the box and free goodies you will have to pay 200$ more for the other set.

Absolutely 100 percent perfect! I’ve brought it to the range twice now and the groupings are extremely tight. I’ve had no problems with it at all. I couldn’t be happier. It instantly became my favorite pistol. The front of the grip is aggressive but the pistol isn’t going anywhere when you’re sweaty that’s for sure.
