As much as people bash on the Hi-Point, I honestly never had an issue with mine. It was insanely accurate, in my opinion. No FTF or anything like that. Shot about 500 rounds before I ever cleaned it. People will say save up for better quality but it worked great for me. It was my gift to myself when I turned 21 and when I sold it, I sold it for $150. No harm, no foul.

Also, Buds was excellent in regards to the transaction. Everything when smooth as silk.

Got one for the GF...we live in the boons...she was on the bull at ten yards in the first clip with ZERO handgun experience...three outings with it so far....she is still hitting the bull...It's really amazing for any amount of money....Buds got it here quick too!!! I will polish the ramp...just because everyone says to...

Pretty solid firemarm, bought it for my wife for home protection. I probablly wouldnt carry it with me daily as its on the heavy side. I only had a few failure to feeds but that was with the first few mag fulls i put through it. As of now its had about 100 rounds through it and i dont regret buying it.

bad safety placement and heavy for a compact. If you have large hands this guns grip is too small for you. The grip side panels are way slippery and you will have to upgrade or modify the grip. Overall it is a good back up piece for the money.

I've shot 100 rounds out of this 9mm with not one malfunction or miss-fire.
American made and a warranty that you can't beat. You won't be able to find a better gun for the money. It's not a $500 or $600 gun and that's why a lot of people won't admit that this gun will function just as good as their S&W. It is an ugly duckling though.

I was finally able to take the gun to the range this weekend. I loaded the magazine and engaged the first round. I pulled the trigger and... nothing. I cleared the chamber and put in another magazine. Pulled the trigger and.... nothing. I tried three different clips and two different types of ammo... still nothing. The gun is defective. Hi Point stated that I had to pay for shipping to and from the manufacturer if I wanted to get the gun repaired. So far this $150 gun is going to cost me $245 just to get a working sidearm. At this point I cannot recommend Hi Point

UPDATE: Buds agreed to pay for the shipping to and from the manufacturer. Still not happy that my wife's birthday present was so lame. "Happy birthday! Here is a new gun that doesn't work! Don't worry though, if you are assaulted you can still throw the gun at them."

Great gun for the money. Like everything it has it's little problems but I would stand in front of it while someone chambers a round and pulls the trigger!.
