Great gun. This gun is a great tactical .45 pistol. I added a thread barrel to run suppressed and it works perfectly. It is my go to bedside handgun.

A SIG is a SIG is a SIG. The best there is and the P227 is truly an outstanding example of quality. Too bad they are dropping it from their product line. When I heard that I bought this one, my second P227.

When I first recieved the pistol and did the initial cleaning, I found a burr in the slide on the rail that would have ruined the frame. Fortunately, having experienced this with Sig products in the past.. I was looking for it, caught it and addressed it. I also found a rather large high spot on the decocking lever that dragged really badly on the frame. I took care of both issues and have had zero issues with the pistol, since. I've had it for a month and it's been a fine pistol. The trigger smoothed out quite a bit in a few hundred rounds, and the Romeo 1 has held its 0 very well. It's a shame sig dropped this pistol, but I understand given it's similarity thi the P220 and offering next to nothing different. If you're fortunate enough to be able to get one of these while they're still available, do it! Just inspect it thoroughly before use, as you should with any new firearm.

Been a Sig owner and fan for quite some time. This P227 with the Romeo red dot is another quality product from Sig. And the Vortex red dot is just what my aging eyes need! Test fired it the day I picked it up from my FFL and the red dot was pretty close right out of the box. A couple adjustments with the included tool and it was dead on. The trigger was pretty good too; I wouldn't mind one of Sig's quick reset triggers but the factory standard trigger is pretty good. The only glitch I had was that I was only able to get nine rounds into the ten round magazines. That might be a break-in or clean-and-lubricate issue since the mag springs are obviously brand new. Otherwise it's all good. And good for Bud's for offering such a great deal. I'll definitely be back for other purchases.

Gun was delivered as described. Buds was great. The SIG P227 feels very close to a P226 despite being 45acp. I selected this gun because I have a P229 RX and love the red dot combo with this gun. The P227 gives me 45acp, the red dot, and nightbsights which cowitness with the Romeo 1. The best of all worlds. The gun is extremely tightly fitted. Recoil spring is a little stiff. As such the gun is extremely accurate. It feeds all factory ammo fine. With the heavy spring, my weaker powered handloads used for bullseye shooting struggled to cycle the gun initially. After some rounds of break in, even the weaker handloads are functioning fine. The trigger pull is not as good as I hoped on my particular gun, but I guess this varies. If it does not break in over time I may ask Sig to look at it. In summary I am very pleased with this P227RX and would definitely recommend it and Buds

Purchased this just a few weeks ago and only have about 200 rounds through it. So far am excited about its accuracy and simplicity to shoot, even my wife loves shooting the weapon. I have noticed that it doesn't like range reloads much but have had no issues with factory loads. This will definitely be my carry gun here in Idaho where I am constantly running into packs of wolves, coyotes, and an occasional cat or bear.
