Im not a huge fan of the 40S&W admittedly however i wanted a P229 elite for years and when i came across this one on buds the price was just too good to say no. Once i got it in i fell in love. The wood grips are gorgeous and go great with the matte finish. The pistol does have some heft to it and i think there are many better carry option out there today with polymer frames. However as a home defense or range gun its perfect, its got plenty of power and capacity, it’s extremely accurate and the stock night sights make it a good option for a night stand piece. It also has a 1913 rail to mount your weapon light of choice. I cant say anything bad about Sig and they make some of my favorite handguns of all time, the P229 Elite being no exception. I give this pistol 9/10, if it was 9x19 luger it would be 10/10 all day.

This was a handgun I had wanted for a long time, couldn’t find one. Finally I found this one at Buds and the price was fantastic, Buds is the place to go for hard to find guns and especially the prices they have. This is my fourth purchase from Buds and they will be many more. Awesome place.
