Sig Sauer 1911 XO *MA Approved* 45ACP 5" 8+1 Ergo XT Gr - Blue/Black, 5" Barrel, 8+1 Rounds

I was really surprised at the quality from Sig Sauer. This is my first 1911 I own after had tried several of my friends and gun shop rentals of Springfields, Remingtons and Paras. What suprised me was just how smooth the slide it. The slide was semi tight but that is expected of a new gun. Took it straight to the range without cleaning or lubing prior (the pistol is covered in thin layer of oil and grease) and it just ran perfectly with zero hiccups with Monarch Brass, Federal and Blazer brass! I only got to shoot about 150 rnds before I had developed couple blisters on my trigger finger. I guess I'm not used to a serrated trigger face. Speaking of the trigger. It's not your Mass 10lb trigger. It feels like a 4-5lb short and crisp trigger. (the short take up is a little gritty but got more and more smooth over the 100 rnd count). This model does feature a chamber indicator, which is just a u notch on the chamber. Very discreet. Speaking of that, I'm so pleased that this thing is not plastered with nomenclature of any sorts beside the "Sig Sauer" on the slide and frame. Overall, this gun is exceptional for its price. I would recommend upgrading the grips as they're polymer. Top notch service from Buds!

Excellent fit and finish. Checkered front strap is nice. Has a trigger that is probably about 5lbs and the loaded chamber indicator is simply a witness hole in the barrel hood. Made in the USA. For a gun in the $700 range, this beats all the 1911 competition.
