As with every NAA Mini-Revolver, the hammer need not rest on an empty chamber. Using the original half-way notch cylinder, the hammer may rest safely and securely without chance of accidental discharge.

North American Arms' .22 Magnum can be used with all popular .22 Magnum ammunition, including .22 Magnum shot shells (called Snake Shot by some manufacturers).

Impressed with this little pocket revolver! Cleaned it up and took it to the range. Shot 20 rounds of Speer Gold Dot 22 Mag through it and it was accurate. At about three yards, the first five shots were a tight group, but off a little to the left. I adjusted my grip and got the shots centered, but the group was a little more spaced out. The last five rounds (only due to time restriction), I got the grouping tighter and centered. Recoil was minimal and there was pretty much no muzzle flip. It is very light, single action functioned without an issue, and looks to be very durable.

It's a little hard to get a grip on this gun, but shooting it is not bad at all...even w/ WMR rounds. I bought a belt-buckle rig from NAA (wish that they still had the old fashioned buckles, but this isn't bad and 5 rounds of .22WMR could tend to dissuade an attacker if you have nothing else. The gun is well made and, thanks to the porting, has no real muzzle flip, even with full magnum loads.

This is a fun little gun that shoots both 22LR and 22M by switching out the cylinders. The Magnum cylinder is not marked in any way however the LR is stamped LR though quite faintly. Its not a range gun at all as its only accurate out to about 5-7 yards at most. I have about 200-250 rounds through it simply by passing it around the range to those who want to try it. Not a single failure and goes bang every-time. Fun to shoot at the range for a bit but mainly to get a feel for it. The 22LR have very little recoil however 22M out of the 1-5/8 ported barrel does have a nice snap! Quality IS top notch and you really couldn't ask for much better. Stainless construction makes for a lasting and easy to clean firearm. The wood grips are beautiful! It is a slight pita having to remove the cylinder pin and barrel every 6 shots but again its not really meant to have 1000s of rounds through it at a range. It is an excellent up close and personal gut gun carried as a backup to your CCW or for when you simply need the smallest deepest CCW you can have.

While they have both 22LR and 22M versions I highly suggest the 22M/LR combo as you cant simply order another cylinder for them. If you have the 22LR and want the 22m cylinder NAA requires you to ship the entire firearm back to them. Part costs plus shipped all add up which is why this combo is great!
