This is a wonderful handgun. Although the processing of my order was very slow, I am incredibly pleased with the price and quality of this revolver from buds. I will be buying more Smith and Wesson revolvers in the future due to the attention to detail that this revolver exhibits.

Very crisp light trigger - SA & DA, grips are much nicer than expected, deep bluing, more accurate then I can shoot, what's not to like?

This revolver is nice! I never shot a center fire revolver before and an glad I went with this smith. I was hitting small targets with ease. The trigger is really nice, even in double action. In single action it is a thing of beauty! I really like the feel of the wood grips and the sights are pretty darn easy. The blue'd finish is classic looking. The weight of the gun makes it feel substantial in hand. The fit and finish is what I guess you should expect for a revolver in this price range from a reputable maker such as S&W. Overall, this purchase makes me want to buy another S&W revolver!

As an owner of several of these L Frame revolvers, dating back to my first 586 (6") of early 1980's vintage, I must say that Smiths latest effort compares very well. The finish, trigger and grips are all beautiful. Best price around was right here. Thanks.

Note: This model is shipped with a 4" barrel as specified in the description not the 6.02" barrel listed in the title.

The metalwork on this revolver is magnificent--there is not a sharp edge or buggered screw anywhere on the firearm. The bluing is so uniform and lustrous that it looks more liquid than steel.

Mechanically, it locks-up tighter than any other revolver I've had the pleasure to fire (and I've been collecting K and L frames since the late '80's). The trigger is vintage S&W--crisp light SA, and smooth-as-butter DA. At the range, my handload .38 spc's hit right at the point of aim @ 25 ft without any sight adjustment. Only had a hand-full of full-bore .357, but they were not uncomfortable to shoot (with the full underlug, this is a heavy, but balanced, handgun).

As nice as the machining is, I had to deduct a star because of the dang grips. The wood is high-quality and nicely finished, but there is a sharp ridge where the two halves come together in the front and on the butt, and a big gap at the bottom of the backstrap.

If you can't tell, I'm in love with this revolver, or at least I will be when I get some aftermarket grips. As usual, Buds was nothing short of amazing! I ordered it on Sunday and picked it up at my FFL the next Thursday. Thanks!
