Have always wanted to tryout a .380; this one getting good marks. Bought magazine extensions for my big hands. Fun addition to my collection, at an affordable price. Working with Bud's was a piece of cake. Efficient process in all buying requirements.

Amazing little pocket rocket, hammer make some light strikes on some ammo just upgrade the hammer spring and problem solved, this little thing i do carry it in my pocket or in a kidex sheat when im in shorts around the house, a quick trip to the gas station or simply just going for the mail, very versatile very reliable and there are many after market parts that make it even better, i have it for about 2 years and love it, planning to gave his 2.0 upgraded brother but just for riding the wave, I'm not retiring it any time soon

I purchased the pistol because of the safety feature which allows me to have a round in the chamber and still have the weapon safe. The safety position allows the safety to be released as the weapon is being drawn. Otherwise I would have to rack the slide in an emergency. This pistol, however, tyhe safety was so stiff it could not be engaged by hand. A tool was required.

This pistol ends a long search for an effective EDC. As on older man with arthritic hands, I have tried a variety of 9mm handguns, a PPK and ended up carrying a revolver due to difficulty racking slides. This slide on this pistol is easy to rack. Size large gloves are slightly big on my hands and I can get my pinkie on the grip- unlike the PPK. In fact, the pistol almost feels like a full size gun in the hand. The pistol is thin and easy to conceal. Much easier than a 5 shot Charter Arms or Smith and as easy as a PPK. The extra round and thin build and good grip make up for the lower bullet eight compared to .38 special.The mags are a bit tough to load for my hands but most are. The trigger pull is easier than a revolver double action and not an issue for my hands. I like the double strike feature but have yet to test it as the pistol has not had a misfire. Unless there is a long heavy trigger pull, I like a safety on anything that could go in a pocket If I have a complaint it is that the safety is thin and tight to the frame. while that makes the pistol less likely to print, it is difficult to flick off on the draw. Of course that could be my old hands. My hope is someone makes an aftermarket replacement safety.

As for Buds, excellent turn around and excellent price! The S&W Bodyguard 380 is very concealable and lightweight. When I feel the Glock 26 is just too big for the day, this 380 is very comfortable to wear. It is not a gun you will want to shoot all afternoon at the range as the kick is rough and will wear on you after 50 rounds. However, it is well worth training with. That said, being a double action, there is a very long pull till it goes bang. This is my first double action so I just need to keep training with it. If I had my druthers, I think I should have opted for the Bodyguard 2.0 but the cost of the straight up 380 can't be beat. As a 5"5' lady, I really love how concealable this little gun is and how well it fits my hand. So far after 200 rounds I have not had a single jam, misfire or issue.

Had it in the Box since January 2020 until recently. Just tried to fire and the hammer is severely flawed, Hammer doesn't reach to drive bullets. . Disappointed with Smith and Wesson and my purchase here. S o I guess it will never be fired.

This is a perfect pocket carry. I don't like belt holsters, inside the pants holsters, just not comfortable after a short time. This small frame feels great in the pocket, and I forget it's there. I still like my Shield, and though it's a good carry, this Bodyguard is so much more comfortable to shoot and reliable. No hangs or soft fires. I'm very happy with the Bodyguard. No problems with the order and delivery to my FFL was very timely and a smooth transaction.
