A great backup gun. Disappears on a ankle or pocket. A reliable revolver that’s time tested and proven.

A great little gun. Went straight to the range and shot 50 FMJ rounds and 15 +P defense rounds and it worked great. Accurate, comfortable to shoot, although not planning to use it for my fun/target gun. Going right into my ankle holster. Happy to have made this choice.

Very comfortable revolver, fits very nicely in the hand. So light you can wear it all day and forget you have it. As a revolver, it's a little bulky for concealed carry in a pants pocket, but works great thrown in the pocket of a jacket or the Smart Carry which I sometimes use. Very reliable. Have not had any of the problems some mention in regard to the internal lock safety. I haven't ever used it, so maybe that's why mine operates without any issues.

Haven't shot it yet but accepted transfer feels and looks like a quality piece of machinery. I love revolvers.

Great CCW pistol with a lot of bang! It's lightweight plus a bear of a handgun. Would not want to be on the receiving end of of one of these, especially the +P personal defense rounds. It literally never leaves my side. I love the black finish. Oh yeah, It's a Smith and Wesson, hard to beat. Great price too. I picked this one up from Bud's in person, great staff, awesome store.

The SW 442 is one of many lightweight revolver that has accompanied police officers on patrol for decades. I have owned the 442 in the past and decided to purchase another after having sold my previous model. They are a great gun for concealed carry and light enough to carry comfortably in shorts or light clothing. I would recommend this model to anyone who needs to carry or would like to have a small revolver with a great reputation close at hand.

I purchased the S&W 442 for use in a pistol class in NC geared torwards women. Ordered on Monday was at the range on Thursday! No problems whatsoever (once I remembered the difference in UPS and USPS, MY BAD). The fit and finish was excellent and the pistol was as advertised.
If you decide to purchase this pistol I recomend Bud's for price and service. When you get the pistol and first try the trigger pull DON'T go crazy. YES, it is bad. Before you go and buy a spring kit try and dry-fire( with caps or empty cases ofc) the 38 several thousand times. I did say thousands, you will be amazed at the difference. The trigger smooths out and becomes much more manageable.
There is a reason that the "j" frame Smith hasn't changed (Except for the STUPID side lock)for @ 100 years. When it comes to power, concealability, and shootabilty this weapon platform is hard to beat. I grabbed and old holster and am thinking of carring this pistol when I am just running out the door. Great gun.
