I previously reviewed this product- 5 stars all around- anyhow, it's been a few months, and it still is a great pistol and a great buy- I just wanted to say that as far as holsters go- I found that the best holster that I have found to date is the "Old Faithful" brand OWB holster coupled with a set of Blackhawk! SERPA dual mag pouches mounted on a belt slide rig.
"Old Faithful" makes great Kydex/Leather combo holsters, and I've been carrying the C9-A1 in this OWB belt slide rig for a few months now and I have to say it's a great combo. Secure and easy to conceal.

I thought I was going to have to swap the OEM "Triangle" sights for a set of my standard "go-to" Trijicom or Ameriglo Tritium sights, but no, these are just fine- again, the Steyr and the Old Faithful holster are a great carry combo- just be sure to read the instructions on the holster- you will need to apply some blue threadlock so the tension screws don't work their way loose (you need to adjust them to your preference, and then use the Blue Loctite to secure the screws for a permanent solution when you have found your "spot".

I have put around 200 rounds through my new c9. What a great, high quality handgun and at a phenomenal price. Almost no recoil, very accurate, and I love the trapezoidal sights. I have had no failures or issues to date.

Wonderful firearm. I've shot everything under the sun, and hands down this pistol provides the best ergonomics of any firearm I've ever laid my hands on. Low bore axis, intuitive grip angle, and excellently placed controls make this a pure joy to own and shoot. Trigger breaks like a glass rod. Trapezoid sights make rapid target acquisition a breeze. I've bested many of my personal bests at tactical drills with this firearm. Steyr is the most underrated firearm in America. Put nearly a thousand rounds through it on the first day at the range without a single hiccup.

Had to send it back to the factory for replacement for another model. Seems this one was made incorrectly or bad batch, I believe the slide stop notch on the slide is in the wrong place, do to the fact when you lock the slide back it does not come far enough back to clear the rounds in the mag. In other words you can't drop the slide like you normally can to feed the first round without it stove piping, this is unacceptable and could get you killed! So I didn't even bother taking it to the range I sent it back immediately, spoke to Jeff at Steyr, he never admitted that there was any problems with the gun, but when do they ever! I told him I wanted the L40-A1 instead, the reason why I went with the 40 in this gun is because it was originally built to be a 40 not a nine millimeter and I haven't heard too many good things about the 9 millimeter in this gun on youtube. People saying that brass is getting thrown in their face and eratic ejections. This is not the case in the Steyrs chambered in the 40 they run like a well oiled sewing machine, I now have an M40-A1 and the L40-A1 these are by far the best 40's I have ever owned! They put Glocks to shame! don't believe me try one. The lowest recoiling 40 you will ever own I promise you that!

Terrific price & prompt delivery. The weapon itself has ejection issues (not Bud's fault & Steyr has promised to send a new extractor. The trapizodal sights are great & it is very accurate out of the box!

I was really excited about my new Steyr C9-A1. I have been shooting my Steyr M9 for a couple years and love it. Every one of my friends that I've let shoot it has bought one of their own. I haven't shot it yet but if it shoots like my M9 I'll have 2 great shooters. As for the people that complained about the wrong magazine capacity; the magazines are 17 round PLUS magazines. They have 15 marked on the side like the regular 15rd magazines but have a capacity of 17.
Everything I've bought from Buds has been affordable and delivered quickly. If Buds had a 10 rating I would give them a 15. I'll probably buying the Steyr S9 A-1 next.

This pistol came with two fifteen round magazines, not seventeen round as listed in the sales description but that is okay! What a fantastic pistol! This baby is a natural pointer and fires like a dream, very little muzzel flip and excellent sights make follow up shots seem second nature. This would make anyone a great carry piece or target gun. It has replaced my Glock 19C as my primary carry weapon and my all around plinking favorite, this coming from a guy who has always favored the Glock platform, not to mention the price difference (although I don't think it will stay that way when the word gets out about the "Other Austrian Pistol").

The Steyr C9-A1 compact 9mm auto is a peculiar but good handgun. Here are some oddities:

1.although advertised as 17 round, it comes with a 15 round mag, And dealing with STeyr to rectify the problem is not fun. You'll have better things to do: Steyr doesn't seem anxious to rectify the advertising error or to pay for the shipping and exchange.

2. The handgun shoots super: good short trigger, lovely balance, and a very short slide travel. It cycles quickly and loads and ejects superbly. You may however get a hot casing in the puss, since the angle of ejection is to the right and rearward. Not fun, but not serious either.

3, the Steyr ergonomics are superior, as good as the HK or Sig,for somewhat less money. A good buy in all. I recommend you get one. I suspect they will be phased out soon due to the mixup with the magazines.

4. The sights are great - two white read trapezoidal sights and one red front sight: easy to acquire and re-acquire target! Along with the short flat slide, a very accurate weapon, and quick as a bunny cycling rounds!

5. stripping the weapon is also strange, since you have to depress a right side safety to release the slide lever. Then, the slide and barrel assembly simply fall off-- very different from the Walther handguns, which have a much more complicated disassembly mechanism. Be carefull the slide doesn't fall off when you depress the slide release.

6.But it SHOOTS like a dream, witness Silva in the latest Bond movie, Skyfall, where the villain/badguy/rogue 00 agent carries a Steyr at the end and asks M to kill them both with it with one shot. Cool. The evil twit knows good arms, that's for sure.
