Glock 19 Vickers FDE RTF2 Frame 9mm 15+1 - FDE/Tan, 4" Barrel, 15+1 Rounds, Polymer Grips

Love the color and the Gen 3 grip texture. The Vickers extras were uninstalled unfortunately, but that's no knock to the Glock 19 which is proven and popular. Sights are perfect tritium front and U notch rear which I have on my Colt Custom combat commander. You won't be disappointed.

I don't normally leave reviews for products but decided to jest leave this quick one for the 2017 Model of the Vickers Glock 19 FDE RTF2 Frame. Basically its a Gen 3 Glock 19 with the RTF2 (Rough Textured Frame 2) frame, a Larry Vickers spec'd High Viz Ameriglo front sight in bright yellow, a Vickers Tactical/Wilson Combat rear sight, Vickers/Tango Down magazine base plates and grip plug with Glock Tool, Vickers/Tango Down extended slide stop, Vickers/Tango Down extended mag release, a manufacturer FDE Cerakote slide and FDE colored polymer frame. The gun comes with all of the Vickers parts NOT installed with the exception of the front and rear sight. I really liked this as it gave me the abilty to add the stuff I wanted on the gun and leave off the stuff I didn't. I chose to install the extended mag release, one base plate, and the grip plug. First off I have to say I was a bit skeptical if I would like the sights over the Trijicon HDs I run on all of my other handguns. I was pleasantly surprised how much I like them and have decided they will most definitely stay on the gun. The sight picks up easily and tracks very well due to the bright yellow and U notch rear. In addition the front sight width is wider in comparison to the rear sight which is slightly wider then with my Trijicon HDs. Having the front sight being a little wider in comparison to the rear sight means less margin for error when aligning the sight, thus allowing for more accurate longer distance shots to be made more easily. The rear sight also has a nice ledge for one handed off the body racking of the slide and malfunction clearing. The extended mag release is a really nice modification to the stock one. It is just slightly longer then the stock one which really aides in releasing the mag during speed reloads but not as long as the Glock Factory extended mag releases you can buy. This is nice as I don't want the mag release to be too long and give it a chance for accidental depressing when in holster or shooting. The Grip plug is nice also as it aids in faster reloads under stress so you don't accidentally fumble the mag into the grip hole in the base that Glocks all have. As an added benefit the plug also has a Glock Tool attached to it to aid you in taking apart the pistol if need be, so it cool youll always have it one you. I only chose to install one base pad as I use the gun for EDC and the added bulk in width the base pad adds does add some extra printing so I chose to use it as a range mag only. The RTF2 texture is aggressive but I did not find it to be overly. I definitely felt it increased control of the firearm, especially when practicing from draw and not getting a perfect text book grip every time, that said it does slightly irritate bare skin when carrying IWB for extended periods of time but an undershirt does take care of that. The only negative I can really say is that being a Gen 3, Glock stuck with only giving you two magazines vs three like in the Gen 4 (but keep your eyes open and you can find good deals on Glock Mags). All in all I'm really liking this gun. The added value is definitely there when you consider the prices to replace stock Glock sights with any quality sight is going to run you $100-$150 depending on what you go with. That alone gets you to the price of this gun. Then add in another $80-$100 for a Cerakote job and add all the other little extras and you can see its still pretty good deal (not to mention its not easy finding RTF2 frames these days). Oh also Buds was great, the cash price made this a great deal and the item shipped fast and arrived in perfect condition. Any way if your on the fence about buying one of these I hope this little review at least helped answer a question or two you may have had

It's a glock. It shoots everything. It can take a beating. The color is nice and different. The grip is better than a standard glock. The sights are a nice upgrade.
