GLOCK US G4 19 9MM 4 FXS TCT 15 - FDE/Tan, 4" Barrel, 15 Rounds, 3-Dot Sights

This Glock 19 was purchased from Glock USA by the distributor as as all black gun as Gen 4 19 would be. Then the distributor sent out the pistol to I presume, a 3rd party, to have the entire gun cerakoted in the same coyote brown color as the 19X. The gun looks very nice in appearance. But that is where it stops. Whomever did the cerakote work allowed the cerakote to get inside the slide into the channel where the striker rides and operates etc. The cerakote of course dried and setup. This put so much drag/resistance on the trigger it is in the shop now being worked on by a certified Glock technician. It's the action and trigger pull the both myself and the gunsmith have ever seen on a Glock, it tested out at over 10 lbs trigger pull. Witn the reset as bad or worse. Very gritty feeling, no smoothness whatsoever. In 40 years of buying, building and owning pistols this is the worst gun I've ever seen. But it can be fixed for a price-out of my pocket. I am extremely disappointed in Bud's Gun Shop over this gun. My three previous purchases were just perfect. No problems at all. Only disappointed this US made Glock has the grooved trigger I do not like. Other US made I have seen and own have the smooth face trigger. The entire gun is a standard US Gen 4 black gun coated in the new elite cerekote finish. Slide and frame exact match. I prefer this it's more protection on top of the already tough Glock finish. Black polymer is always stronger than the same polymer with color added so I like that also. You can tell it was a black frame right away because they did a very light spray in the magazine well to be sure not to affect magazine ejection. It also comes with black backstraps. New finish is supposed to be 50% thinner but better than the previous cerakote. Seems to be true gun cycles well right out of box. No problems at range positive ejection with no issues of any kind. Finish seems tough no real wear yet from carrying in kydex holster for a week but I don't care will look even better when it gets wear marks. Great color and very happy with the price also it was cheaper than standard Gen 4.

Glock knocked it out of the park with this one! I was drawn to the sidearm by the color! I wanted a midrange tan cerakoted Glock 19 Gen 4 and found it at Bud's with an amazing price point! To have a cerakote job done on a firearm is well over $100 and by buying one thats already cerakoted and cheaper than standard black was icing on the cake so to say. It seemed unreal that it would be cheaper than standard black. This color in other shops is very expensive! Being in the Army and the Army adopting their new sidearm in desert sand also made me want my "go to war" sidearm to be in that color range as well. I waited to make this review after i put a few hundred rounds through it and in standard Glock fashin ran like a top! Still completely stock! I will be changing things out, but i review items that come stock before i mod. I would trust my life with this sidearm! Thats what i wanted as my EDC snd Go To War sidearm...reliability! The cerakote is done BEAUTIFULLY! It arrived at my FFL in perfect condition! You can tell whomever did the cerakoting knew what they were doing! It will stand up well to fighting pistol training outside of carry use in and out of uniform! The color also helps break up carring it by not being black. Goes well with skin tones from light to dark and with multicam rigs and uniforms. The entire slide inside and out...EVERYWHERE is cerakoted! Its not just the outside and its not uneven or lighter thickness of cerakote with black or steel showing through like other companies that shortcut that process. If Bud's did the cerakoting then they get 5 out of 5 stars for the excellent job! The photo shows a 2 tone between the frame n slide and thats not the case. They match each other perfectly! I like the color better than the combat coyote tan on the other Glock too. Its a great shooting sidearm! It came with 2 different size beavertail backstap grip sizes and 2 different regular backstrap grips without the beavertails. They are black in color, not coyote tan like the frame n slide. 3 15 round Glock magazines, a 9mm magazine loader for the Glock magazines, a polymer pistol cleaning rod with patch loop towards the end with a treaded hole at the end for the synthetic bristle bore brush, and the orange cable lock to secure the sidearm. Manual and literature as well provided. All which came in great Glock egg crate padded hard shell case! Glock REALLY outdoes themselves and the other firearms companies by all the 1st rate Glock brand items they provide! They didnt have to give a 3rd or even 2nd mag, bore cleaning equipment, or a speed loader! Glock makes world class reliable firearms that are accurate and follow through with their class by giving the extra proprietary items so you dont have to buy those items as well! In conclusion, you will be ecstatic with your purchase and happy you bought it at Bud's! I only buy my firearms at Bud's because they are the best with the most professional, nicest, knowledgeable staff in the service industry! I always buy the lifetime guarantee!
