This gun performed well right out of the box. Great price from Buds and quick delivery. The laser on the gun was a great bonus.

Smooth trigger and well balanced. I’m really happy with the way it shoots. So far I’ve shot about 50 rounds of mixed ammo types with zero issues. Need to adjust the laser alignment but no big deal.

This is a great self defense gun. Have put about 800 rounds through it so far, less than 5 James. Laser very accurate. Good to keep for home defense or concealed carry. Was hitting tight bullseyes from about 25 yearns. Ruger quality. Highly happy and recommend this firearm

I had to try a 9MM. A lot easier to control than a 40 cal. That makes sense. When I saw this under $400 with the laser, it was the obvious choice. The medium size with the 4 inch barrel is a good balance. Sights seemed a little off, but I always shoot low and to the left at 10-15 yards. 15 yards is always more on target with factory set sights. Can anyone explain that one? I did try a few rounds at 25 yards. The pattern spread out to about 4 inches. That is me. The laser needed a little adjusting and put down a pattern at about 2 inches at 15 yards. I am not a pro but trying. Easy to break down and clean. Trigger pull is just where I like it. Was firing a 22 the same day and trigger pull was a little tighter on the 9MM as it should, but just as smooth. White sites are okay. Not night sites at this price. With the laser, it is flexible. I would recommend this one. Comes with 2 clips and allen wrenches for the laser sight adjustment.

Compares well to my more expensive Glock 19. I was really impressed with my Security 9 when I compared it to my Glock 19. It has the same capacity, up to 17 rounds. I was extremely close to the Glock in its accuracy. I was able to run brass, bronze, steel ammo in both round and hollow point without a single malfunction after about 200 rounds of this mix. The finish of the Security 9 is not as nice as that on the Glock, but it is still very acceptable for a 9mm that was much less than $400. If you cannot afford a Glock, this is you pistol. Field stripping the Security 9 is a little slower than the Glock and you do need something to press out the take down pin, beyond that it is every bit as easy to clean. I would highly recommend it to a friend with a Hi-Point budget to go with the Security 9, it is lighter and nicer looking.

Absolutely love it, my everyday carry. They sure don’t like cheap/reloaded ammo though.
