Had my P89DC for 16 years. I've never mastered the 3-dot sights - shoot better with the blocky sights on my Security Six. But sights are a personal preference and the pistol itself is great. I've fired everything from cheap junk practice rounds to 1500 fps +P hollow points and NEVER had a jam!! Love Rugers!

Was totally amazed at the tight groups right out of the box and a light clean and lube before firing. Got one ragged hole targets like I never could with my Ruger P85. With a set of Crimson Trace Lazer grips installed I am the envy of the gun range for 9 mm. Did not like the idea of a total polymer grip like the P95. And two 15 round magazines included made it even sweeter.
