The SR9c compact pistol weighs in at 23.40 oz. and features an overall length of 6.85", a height of 4.61", and the same slim 1.27" grip width (across safety levers) as the full-sized SR9. It comes with two magazines that provide options in both capacity and grip size. The standard magazine holds 10 rounds and features a flat bottom butt plate; a finger grip extension floor plate is also included. The second magazine features a grip adapter and holds 17 rounds, instantly transforming the smaller, compact grip into a full-sized 9mm grip. The 3.50" barreled pistol features an integral accessory rail that accommodates most lights and lasers.

The SR9c compact pistol utilizes the same adjustable, high-visibility 3-Dot sight system as its full-sized predecessor, setting it apart from many compact pistols that rely on fixed sights. New serrations are located on the front portion of the slide, making it easier to both manipulate the slide and to press check the chamber. The SR9c is available with a glass-filled nylon frame and through-hardened slide in either a brushed stainless or black nitride finish. State compliant variations are available where necessary and ship with two 10-round magazines.

Just like the original, full-sized SR9, the SR9c is loaded with modern safety features like a 1911-style ambidextrous manual safety, internal trigger bar interlock and striker blocker, trigger safety, magazine disconnect, plus a visual and tactile loaded chamber indicator.

After putting my first 100 rounds through this gun, I'm extremely happy with the purchase. It performed flawlessly with three different types of ammunition. Not a single malfunction of any kind. It just looks and feels like quality. It also shoots extremely accurately right out of the box. I'd say that it made me look better than I am. It's a very comfortable handgun, and I like the ability to use either the 10 or 17 round magazine. The 10 will make a nice, compact, carry piece, and the 17 can either tag along or live in the nightstand.

The manual is pretty well-written; I looked through it to be sure that I was familiar with everything before putting ammunition through it. I saw online where some people had trouble with slide manipulation, but it's all working very well for me. Field stripping is quick and very straightforward, and I have no issues locking the slide, or releasing it. I know some people have passionate feelings about the safety, as well as the loaded chamber indicator. I'm not going to try to change anybody's mind, but I kind of like having the safety when carrying with one in the chamber, and the LCI simply doesn't bother me. Would I design the gun that way? No, but it's not enough to put me off of the gun considering everything else it has going for it.

Thanks also to Bud's for the smooth order processing. Everything was easy, quick, and painless, from putting the SR9C into my cart, to paying, to picking it up at the local FFL.

Great gun!! took it to the range and put 150 rounds thru it and performed like a stud. Slide release is a little stiff, wasn't able to release with just my thumb. Maybe I'm just use to a Beretta slide release or after a couple of cleanings it will loosen up.

Definitely a great first gun, didn't have any of the stiff trigger issues others had breaking it in, oh plus $150 cheaper than any gun store in the area.

I love the SR9c. I found it too bulky for concealed carry but it was a lot of fun at the range. This was my nightstand gun for many years due to its accuracy and reliability. I like the redundant safety features. Excellent gun for new shooters. I originally bought mine as a cheap 9mm while I saved up for something better and never ended up getting a "better" 9mm, the SR9c won me over. I foolishly sold it to finance a gun I've already traded away. It's pretty certain I will be buying another one soon, I really miss it.

My sole complaint was the racking was HARD. When new it was brutal, after a few hundred rounds it got easier but was still very stiff.

Very well made and though out pistol. The trigger was decent out of the box but with a little stoning and bp1000 it was the best striker fired trigger I've ever used.
