Bought this gun as a plinker and trainer gun . So far it has fulfilled both roles very nicely. Feels less solid than a smith and wesson. However I wasn't willing to spend the price of the smith's kit gun for the same purposes.

Good little gun, trigger is a little heavy but the gun is accurate and fun to shoot.

Had a couple complaints with the way the revolver showed up at my ffl. Bud's was quick to respond and connected me with a Taurus rep to deal with the problem which were purely aesthetic (dirty and light manufacturing scratches) . This revolver functions beautifully, is accurate and a lot of fun to shoot in single action. The double action is as bad as you have read but its not a tactical or carry gun so plenty of time to pull the hammer. I've had several others shoot this gun and everyone that does wants to keep shooting it. Overall I'm pleased with this purchase.

Action is smooth and everything is great except for the grip. I think I have average hands and the grip seems too small to get a solid, consistent grip.

Every time I take it to the range it fouls on me. I have had multiple cartridge jams in the same range trip. My brother's father-in-law is a gunsmith and I will be giving it to him for experimentation. I do not want to see it in my gun safe again.

This is a firearm with a crisp trigger, easy action, and good accuracy from the factory. Easy to maintain, and I have put about 400 rds through it so fay with no mechanical issues (some 22LR ammo leaves a bit to be desired...) The wife likes shooting it and it looks good to boot.

Directly from the manufacturers shipping box, the cylinder was very hard to turn, and trigger pull was extreme in single and double action. Disassembly of the cylinder from the yoke showed very poor machining. Yoke shaft required sanding out imperfections with 600 grit paper, until the cylinder turned freely on the shaft. Next, due to the extreme trigger pull, the right side plate was removed from the frame. When placed aside, the trigger spring, trigger spring rod, and trigger pivot pin were lying "out of place" in the frame. After removing metal shavings and grit, and removing rough and unfinished metal from the interior of the side plate, the model 94 was reassembled after re-bluing of some internal parts. Functions good, now ! First time i've ever had to repair a NEW firearm, just to be able to use it for the first time. Poor quality control, as it should not have been able to leave the factory in this condition.
