The TP9 is a recoil operated pistol using a Browning-type system. The barrel is locked to the slide during the initial rearward travel, then disengages to allow the slide to continue rearward for extraction and ejection. An integral stainless steel guide rod helps dampen recoil. Kahr's trigger system employs a cam to unlock the passive safety and complete cocking and releasing of the firing pin.The system provides a "safe cam action" and Kahr's well documented smooth DAO trigger.

One of the most under rated handguns. Conceals very well since it is so thin (with a proper holster), have fired over 700 rounds so far of various mixed ammo to include +p and +p+ and zero issues, no jams, no problems. Very well built. Can't beat the price for this gun. Nice sight radius and full grip. Has been my EDC since I purchased it and am very happy. Have had many Kahr pistols and this one shoots the best. Very light recoil too!

This pistol is light and shoots fantastic. It shoots groups as tightly as my Sig P239. It’s hard to find holsters for it. Size is almost identical to my wife’s M&P Shield P.C. I’ve fired hundreds of rounds at a time and never felt the stocks hurt my hands. Being so thin it conceals well so instead of ordering a P9 for carry I’m getting a CT9 for classes and maybe a PM45! I’m a fan.

Everything you expect from a Kahr Handgun. Lightweight, great trigger, and very accurate. This is my third Kahr and I’ve never been disappointed in the handguns or the service Bud’s provides.

Kahr's TP9 is the 'perfect' pistol. Why? It is slim & small enough to be easily concealed comfortably, but large enough to be comforting. Its 8+1 capacity just enough size to not feel like you're holding a set of car keys. If you're in the market for a slim concealment pistol that can also be easily used for a range gun, look no further. My only regret? Waiting so many years to buy one!

The TP9 arrived quickly and was exactly as expected. 200 rounds fired so far of a mixture of ball and HP ammo including some light competition loads. Functions perfectly with all three magazines that it came with. Two of the magazines didn't drop free but a little squeeze of the magazine tubes fixed that. Great gun.

Love this full size Kahr. Came with 3 mags and at a great price ($330). The Kahr is the only striker fired pistol that has a trigger I like because it is similar to a revolver.

I am very happy with the TP9. It has been completely reliable, very accurate, and comfortable to shoot. When I purchased the gun it was priced only about $20 more than the CT9 yet included upgraded parts and finish work of the K/P series pistols, 3 magazines, and a hard case. The TP9 is one of Kahr's "full size" pistols so it has a full length grip and 4" barrel. Even so it is very thin and light. With the right holster it conceals well, yet it's larger size makes it a very pleasant range gun. My only complaint is related to the magazines. The feed lips are very sharp and the spring very strong. That makes loading them over and over difficult without a magazine loader. I am very pleased and highly recommend the Kahr TP9.

Paid for my TP9 on Wednesday and you can imagine my surprise when my FFL in Orlando called me Thursday afternoon to let me know my gun had arrived. Less than 24 hours from payment to delivery. Amazing. Already had the CT9 so was excited to get the Premium TP9. Looking forward to breaking in by racking the slide about 500 times and then range time. Classy looking little pistol and at .9" thick will carry like a dream. Nice job as usual Buds. Kahrs are really nice guns for those that do their research and recognize they are incredibly tight from the factory and do require a break in for them to smooth out and run reliably. I've lusted after this gun for years but the $600 price tag was not in my budget. Getting it now for $347 is like Christmas in May.

Poor choice! My 75 year old arthritic fingers cannot load more than one round in any of the three mags. Excruciatingly painful to fill. I have to push down the top bullet base with a wood dowel after each round so I may add more. Have to clamp the mag in a soft padded vise to do this. Kahr needs to redesign their mags with a softer spring, or better polish the msg interior or come up with s slipperier follower. Or maybe provide an assist type device as does Glock. At the present rate it will take me days to get the thing broken in. Offers anyone?
