Pistol is nice enough, shot fine, just didn't fit any particular purpose for me, so sold it off.

Excellent weapon but unforgiving to an inexperienced shooter. Carried for years until my grip weakened due to arthritis. Unless you have a firm grip you will get a number of FTF and FTE. Keep in mind it is not the pistol, but the shooter, causing the issue. This was my weapon of choice for EDC in the Chicago metro area for years

Awesome handgun!! Can't wait to get this to the range and start carrying it.

I ordered this on March 9, a Saturday night, and was in my FFL before noon on Thursday March 14. Kudos to Bud's. My CM9 has been my EDC for 4 years with over 4500 rounds and 3 malfunctions it's had revolver like reliability. I purchased a Kahr CT45 15 months ago, and 1500 rounds 3 malfunctions. To say I'm a Kahr fan is an understatement. Every Kahr has the same smooth long trigger pull that breaks around 5.5 lbs. They remind me a lot of my S&W Model 19 in double action. So I was in the market for a CM45 to become my EDC. Everywhere I looked the price was $325-$350 with one mag, then I saw Bud's had the PM45 model at this crazy price and I bought it. The package came with 2 - 5 round magazines and 1 - 6 round ext mag and a hard shell case. This may be a close out. If you go to Kahr's site, they only list the PM45 in a black slide with night sights. I don't care, this was a $650-$700 package 6 months ago.I have average hands and can get a full grip on the 5 rd magazine and the 6rd is very comfortable. I went through the usual Kahr prep, cleaned the gun totally, cleaned the mags, racked 200 times and left in the lock back position for 8 hours. Took off for the range with 200 rds of 230 FMJ and 20 rds of 230 XTP. If you are used to .45 acp, the lack of felt recoil for a gun this size is great. It is point and shoot accurate. Used an FBI Q target 7-10-15-25 yds. Could easily put on target at 25 yds and tight groups at 7 and 10 yds. The first 50 rounds I had 4 jams, the second 50 rds, 1 jam. The third 50 rds ran flawlessly. I too was getting an occasional casing in the forehead. The last 50, jammed at 20, then ran 30 rds and the hollow points with no problem. I wasn't feeling particularly great about it given my experience with my CM9. So I went on Kahr forum and was told forehead casings were because of too light of a grip. Might've been the recoil is not hard to hold on to. 2nd range session, 100 rds 230 FMJ 20 rd XTP. Ran flawlessly, crazy accurate. A couple of times I caught a casing, this time I had a hat on, I just gripped down harder and it didn't happen on the next round. I've already carried IWB and front pocket, and I work in an environment, where it absolutely has to be concealed. So despite a few issues on break in, I am extremely pleased with this purchase. If you want a concealable, reliable gun with the power of .45 this is it. And this deal is a steal. "Baby Thunder" is now my EDC.

I've owned several Kahrs over the years and just added the PM45 to my existing inventory which includes a P380 & PM9. The PM45 is replacing a Kimber Ultra and is only slightly larger than the PM9. As you would expect, it is a bit snappier in .45 ACP, but very manageable. The PM45 has the same long, smooth trigger pull as every Kahr. During the 200-round break-in, I had 2 FTFs in the first 100 rounds, but it ran like a champ for the rest of the break-in. I was using 3 different brands of cheap range ammo for the break-in and after the first 200, I ran 5 1 of carry ammo (Critical Defense) through a filthy weapon. Perfection. There are a couple of internet videos showing ejected rounds from a PM45 hitting the shooter in the head. Not a single round hit me. The Buds process was as a smooth as I've come to expect: emails along the way to keep me appraised of the status and good coordination between Buds and the FFL holder. When I stopped in at the FFL holder, they had already been notified by Buds that the shipment has on the way. The PM45 is an excellent personal defense choice and another exceptional buying experience with Buds.

This is a GREAT deal. Price is fantastic, BUDS is fantastic. Kahr recommends a 200 round break in, but first hundred rounds so far have been flawless. Very accurate, and recoil is not bad at all considering it is a lightweight .45acp. Best purchase I have made in some time. Highly recommended.

Nice pistol for the money. Smooth trigger pull, and for such a small sized .45, it is easy to stay on target. Kahr suggests a 200 round break in period. I ran 50 rounds through this on its first day on the range. zero ftf/ zero ftf. Kahrs can be very finicky, but no issues with this one so far. This may be the best .45 on the market for under $400 bucks. Buds was great as usual.

Having owned a CM9 for quite a while and considering it one of my favorite and most dependable pistols, I was pretty excited to see that Buds had this PM45 for a decent price. With the PM model being the higher end, I understood this would have a few upgrades from the CM model. After it arrived and I pulled it out of the box, I have to say I was somewhat disappointed in the overall feel of the action. It was sooo gritty and stiff, I wondered if I wasted my money. I cleaned it and took it out the following day to break it in. The gun fired one and immediately jammed (I thought it had broken) and it would not function properly. I cleaned it again and found a tiny little piece of metal stuck in the recoil return assembly. After I cleaned that out, I put it back together and had another jam, and another, and the gun wouldn't fire because the slide isn't cycling well and is not sliding all the way closed Turns out the little taper angle on the end of the recoil spring assembly is catching the slide and not allowing the slide to close completely. I think it's supposed to center the barrel...? This flaw seems like a fatal manufacturing flaw and makes me question whether this gun will be dependable?? The gun is completely unusable at this point, (brand new gun, right out of the box) so I've returned the gun - at my own expense - back to Kahr and now will have to wait 5-6 weeks to find out what they will do to fix it.

200 rounds of factory new brass for break in. Had ongoing FTF/Jamming issues (approx 1 per magazine) when both I and a friend shot it. Sent back to Kahr where it sat for 7 weeks before they test fired it to find, "nothing wrong". Sent back to me. I cleaned the firearm and magazines (heavily corroded/rust?) thoroughly and I then went to the range and fired another 200 rounds of factory new brass with the same issues. Cleaned and inspected firearm after range session to find the front cap to the guide rod assembly was missing. Contacted Kahr CS again who said they would send me a new guide rod assembly and that i'd need to take a video of my next range session before sending in the firearm for more warranty work (presumably perpetuating the he said/she said game). It seems I've gotten a lemon, which happens, but I'd expect Kahr CS to do a better job resolving the issues than they have. I will be selling the firearm once I receive the new guide rod assembly (if I ever do). I cannot recommend purchasing a Kahr firearm, not because of the occasional lemon, but because of my frustrating experience with their customer service team.
