I’m trying to understand Bud’s Item Numbers 84612 (M2) and 25953 (M2 Single/Double) First off, I believe DA/SA is the correct terminology? Meaning, the first shot is DA, then SA thereafter (such as with a Sig P226)? The M2 description is pretty thin. Does the M2 Single/Double have additional internal safety mechanisms? The photos are also lacking. Does the M2 have only one mag release – you have to choose which side to install? Any help understanding the $60 price difference is much appreciated!

Mark, these two options differ only in frame color with 25953 being "tungsten" gray and 84612 being black. The PPQ is just striker fired with their proprietary "quick defense" trigger and is essentially single-action-only with no hammer, decocker, or double action mode like the P226. From Walther's site these guns have a passive internal trigger safety, firing pin safety and disconnector safety in addition to the integral trigger safety you can see. They have a reversible magazine release that can be swapped to accommodate left/right handed shooters. Most gun listings are generated with stock images and descriptions provided by the manufacturer and occasionally seem to disagree with each other as you've seen. 84612 looks to be accurate, but the title and description of 25953 is pretty contradictory about the color and operating system. During customer service hours it would probably be best to consult Buds' via phone or the chat now window that shows up on the bottom right of the screen during their working hours, in my experience they have been very quick to fix any issues you find. Almost forgot, as for cost difference the prices are usually generated based on scarcity and can fluctuate based on how much stock of that particular model is available, 25953 being a different color is likely just not seen in as great of numbers as the standard black model.

Is the pistol completely gray (slide and grip/lower) or is it gray lower and black slide ?

The Walther PPQ M2 is a true breakthrough in ergonomics for self-defense handguns. The styling is elegant and trim with a sculpted grip that meshes smoothly into the hand. The PPQ M2 has a reversible mag release button and an ambidextrous slide stop. The 'Quick Defense' trigger works in conjunction with a fully pre-loaded striker assembly. The trigger pull of 5.6 lbs remains unchanged from the first shot to the last and requires no decocker. The PPQ M2 has two drop safeties and a firing pin block for safe carry. Because the firearm is in a constant cocked state, the striker does not protrude from the back of the slide. The polymer frame has interchangeable backstraps and an integral Picatinny Mil-Spec rail.
