Born of the traditions of the Old West, the Rough Rider maintains much of the look and feel of the legendary Single Action Army revolver, only in a scaled down version. Chambered for the .22LR and .22 Magnum cartridges, the Rough Rider is manufactured using state-of-the-art precision machinery that assures its accuracy and reliability. The cylinder lock-up is tight and the perfect timing of the action makes for a handgun that will put its shots where you want 'em.
The machined barrel is micro-threaded and inserted into the frame for the optimal barrel/cylinder gap to give you maximum ammunition performance. A hammer block mounted in the recoil shield provides extra protection and has a red dot indicator that lets you know when the gun is ready for action. A new, more authentic looking flat-sided hammer paired with new exotic cocobolo grips, makes the Rough Rider both functional and handsome. There are also other grip materials available, plus finish options include the attractive and durable Smooth Silver Satin. When it comes to the Rough Rider there are no shortcuts taken!
Ideal for hunting, plinking or western action shooting, let the Rough Rider be your choice in a new rimfire revolver.

A:Not legal in NY due to Aluminum Alloy Frame. Heritage has started making "Steel Frame" models which is out of stock at Buds here : https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/87939/Heritage+SRR22MBS4+Rough+Rider+6RD+22LR%2F22MAG+4.75+Steel+FrameSee 3 more answers | -

A:Distance, ammo, and handling are key when talking about accuracy. Ive owned many of these revolvers. When any revolver is made (generally) the barrel is screwed to the frame. The front sight on these are fixed. Even in the times of the old west two pistols dont shoot the same spot. This is due to bullet weights, powders and the quality of rifling in the barrel. And the fact that every barrel us hand turned and bore sighted for accuracy. With lots of employees usung various boresighters it could vary slightly. If you shoot high or low velocity it could vary more. If you have shot lead rounds that fouled the rifling it varies significantly. And once again people see sights different. My marine buddy and me shoot the same. But my legionare friend shoots it 6 inches right and down 2 inches every time at 100 yards. But at 30 yards all 3 of us blow the center out of the target. So all those factors are at play.i shot 1000 copper jacketed bullets in one of these covered in light sand over the course of a year. No misfires. Mine did shoot right. But i noticed a glare from the sun caused obstruction on the painted sights. So i blackened the sight, and ding a 4 inch gong at 100 yards consistently. Fir the less than $200 price tag to experience a single action revolver. Id say do it. The 4.75 model i can hit at 100 yards with after about 12 shots of practice. The longer barrel takes 6 shots. But is less wieldy.they both shoot exactally the same. But I will take the short barrel anydaySee 2 more answers |
