Timothy - I own several Dan Wesson 1911s, but not this particular model. I can honestly say I have never owned another production pistol that has been as meticulously fitted and finished as a Dan Wesson. I have never had a single issue with any I have owned - but I know for a fact their customer service is some f the very best in the business and they do all they can to take care of you should any issue arise. I think you will be happy you purchased a Dan Wesson, and proud to show it off to your friends. Wessons' "Duty Black" finish puts to shame other manufacturers finishes, and Dan Wessons parts are hand fitted. These are the most 1911 one can get for their money, in my opinion, and while I have experienced some of the 'semi-custom' pistols costing 3 even 4 times s much, my Dan Wessons are the ones I know I can depend on if I ever need a firearm to defend myself or save a life. I don't think you would ever be sorry you purchased a Dan Wesson.

Dan Wesson and STI guns are some of the best 1911 guns made Unless you get to the true Custom 1911 at 2-3 times the price If you do have a issue DW will do whatever it takes to resolve it

Timothy, Dan Wesson is "Top Tier" in fit and function. This is not to say things don't happen so take solace in the fact that Dan Wesson also has "Top Tier" Service and Support. It's not always the product but, the after service that makes a good purchase value - and this is definitely one in this scenario.

he Wraith is a threaded Government-size 1911 constructed of forged
stainless steel with a distressed duty finish on frame and slide, and
blacked out finish on parts that are not distressed. Black, stippled G10
grips are cut short to accommodate a magwell. The slide wears an
abbreviated set of forward serrations and a set of high night sights.

I fell in love with the Wraith as soon as I laid eyes on it. I got mine in 10mm but am also debating on getting another one in 9mm as well. I have suppressors for both, so I think the 9mm would be a pleasure to shoot. But I chose the 10mm mainly for big critter protection while hiking, and possibly some white tailed deer hunting. Anyways, I ordered it last Saturday and on Wednesday my ffl called to let me know it arrived. Talk about fast shipping! The gun itself is stunning. Everyone at the gunshop was gawking at it and asking to hold it. I've bought guns at 2 to 3X the money, and none of them surpass the attention to detail, fit & finish as the Wraith. It's impressive. I'm a fan of CZ quality as I have a half dozen of them. This purchase, just solidified my admiration for them and the quality of their products. Oh and I love the finish on the Wraith. It's distressed but very subtle and I think it looks amazing and not overly done. If I had to change anything about it, I would not change a thing. CZ/Dan Wesson did an amazing job on the Wraith. Good Job & 5 Stars!

Wow, this is a really nice 10mm; I have 2 other 10mms from other manufacturers that are also great firearms but this is special! I am able to shoot this weapon very accurately. Bud’s always does a great job.

JamesA, mine did that also after 26 rounds. I got the mag out by slightly pressing the mag release while slowly turning what looks like a screw head on the right side (basically same process as removing the mag release assembly). I returned that part to DW for some fine tuning. Got it back but haven’t shot it again yet. Before it locked up it was a fantastic shooter.

Extremely disappointed. I know theres a break in period required for 1911s, but after round 75, the magazine would not release. Period. This happened after round 32 as well, but I was able to free it the first time. Now the gun is holding onto the empty mag for dear life. Not your typical failure, but catastrophic nonetheless. The gunsmith had no clue, I had no clue, and DW still has yet to give me an rma# after 4 days of communication. Right now it is an expensive and beautiful paper weight, only 75 rounds in. Very frustrating, buyers remorse is setting in. Big bummer.
