I should have bought this pistol first. I might just have 3 of these by now.
This thing is beautiful. Great craftsmanship. My grandson and I were in the woods
behind our house practicing with it when my wife came to check us out. YEP,....
she wanted to try shooting it. She loved it. We were just target practicing. Damn near
had to yell to get her to let it go. HAHAHA Well, in my future I see myself buying 2 more
of the same. That is if I want a turn using it. No Bull Crap, this is one sweet deal.
I got this through, BUDSGUNSHOP.COM. I have ordered from Buds a few times
and I haven't been disappointed yet. Great people to deal with. On a scale from 1 to 10
I would give them a 15.

I was a little worried about spending this much on a SAA 22lr, that didnt say Ruger on it . When I picked it up from the FFL, I couldnt believe the quality of this handgun. Heavy, beautiful finish, and so smooth mechanically. I had initially wanted to get a Heritage Rough Rider, which was considerably cheaper, but due to Illinois laws (melting point ? ), I was unable to obtain that gun. Did some research and found the Cimarron Pistolero. All steel, and brass, and size and weight comparable with a big bore Colt SAA. This thing shoots so sweet, as well as accurate. Im quite pleased with the purchase and service from Buds. Might still get that Ruger...but the Pistolero is a lot of fun !!!

Outstanding quality, fit and finish. 10-rounds cylinder locks tight with no wiggle room. Heavy, full-sized gun with brass trigger frame and brown walnut grip.
Beautiful bluing barrel and cylinder. This is a first-class revolver that belies the small price that I paid for it. I can not recommend this revolver enough.
Two thumbs up from me.

I ordered this revolver on 04/09/2019 Finish nice grips not fit most of Cimarron guns are not. this gun was shipped with no gun lock. not plastic bag not well oiled. I think this gun was returned some time. The cylinder look as it was threaded very bad deep groves under sized. I have been a Gunsmith for 40 years and still help a friend build repair all makes of guns. I ordered this gun to shoot with my grandson. BUT the cylinder is so BAD in this gun I would not shoot it. Cimarrons warranty is I pay shipping to some so called gunsmith in Texas and pay $45.00 to let him inspect it. this is a new gun. this is no warranty( Before you buy cimarron look on line to see the problems this company has).000 customer support. This gun will hang in the gun shop to show customers what they get from Cimarron and mail order. I have received several guns from Buds good company. This gun was not one of them. $364.00 dollars out of my pocket Hopefully down the road I can find a replacement cylinder Not the $100.00 price for a new one. Thanks fellow shooters

I own two Cimarron SAA in .45lc. Both are great guns and being a huge fan of SAA I wanted a plunger in the same configuration. The Cimarron Pistoleros fits that and then some. Fit and finish are beautiful. Ten round cylinder means less reloading and more fun. As far as accuracy is concerned, I was hitting small chunks of clay pidgins at 15 yards offhand consistantly! Great fun and very reasonably priced from Buds.

Good lockup with a fairly smooth 2 lb trigger pull. Deep blueing, nice contrast with the brass trigger guard and grip frame. 10 round cylinder.

This is one beautiful SAA. I was pleasantly surprised when I picked it up at my FFL Dealer. The description said it was a six round model, but it turned out to have a 10 round cylinder. The Pistolero is a full sized handgun and is quite heavy for a .22. Fit and finish is first rate. The walnut grips are very well made and fit perfectly. The bluing is dark and has no flaws or blemishes. The brass contrasts well with blued finish and the grips. The action is smooth and the cylinder lock up is tight. The ejector rod works well. I especially like the transfer bar safety which allows you carry it fully loaded. The sights are on and easy to pick up. The Pistolero looks far more expensive and refined than the price would indicate. Shooting is a pleasurable experience and very reasonable using .22 LR ammunition. It is far superior to any other .22LR SAA I have owned. I highly recommend the Pistolero for the look and feel of a Colt SAA with all the advantages of a .22LR Pistol.

A:Well, the Rough Rider is a great deal! All day every day they are a great deal. The Cimarron is a little more true to the firearm it is trying to copy. It’s also made better than the Rough Rider. The materials are a bit better and so is the color on it. But for the price, Rough Riders are awesome. I don’t have a Pistolero, but my local range rents them out. I think it’s worth getting the Cimarron over 2 Rough Riders, it you just gotta have a Rough Rider. As you said, they’re both in the 6 month layaway plan. Might as well get both if you can. It was my pleasure to assist you.See 1 more answer | -

A:I just want to clarify one thing. If a holster fits this revolver in 22LR then it will likely fit another firearm but the same size barrel but different caliber. I would recommend the Plinkerton Slim Jim holster. You can find it here: https://www.cimarron-firearms.com/plinkerton-slim-jim-holster.htmlSee 1 more answer |
