Diamondback Firearms is proud to present the DB380. A micro-compact .380 automatic pistol made entirely in the USA. Designed with safety in mind, the DB380 features a "ZERO-Energy" striker firing system with a mechanical firing pin block, a steel magazine catch to secure a sheet metal magazine and real windage-adjustable sights, all in a lightweight pistol.

A steel trigger with dual connecting bars allows for a crisp smooth, trigger pull. The DB380 features a FEA (Finite Element Analysis) designed slide and barrel that is stronger than any comparable firearm, resulting in durability with less felt recoil, and the absence of removable pins or tools makes field stripping easier than ever. The slide, barrel, and internal parts are coated to resist corrosion, making this pistol a lifetime investment.

This gun was horrible! I couldn't shoot an entire magazine with out a FTF or FTE, I thought it was the ammunition. So I started to use Hornady Critical Defense it did the same thing. I couldn't trust it, so I got rid of it. I though I would give it one more chance, so I got a DB9. The DB9 was almost as bad, once I got threw a whole magazine with no failures. I'm sorry but Diamondback makes horrible guns. If money is the bottom line my PF-9 & P64 has never let me down

I was debating between this gun and the TCP, LCP, P3AT, and other smaller .380's. After about 30 hours of watching reviews from multiple reliable sources, as well as shooting most of the guns above, I am extremely satisfied with my decision to buy this firearm!

First note: You must read the manual before using this firearm. I have been shooting longer than most, and can say 99% of bad reviews that come from this firearm are due to user error. The manual specifically says that before loading the magazine the firing pin must be set. IF YOU DO NOT SET THE FIRING PIN, THE GUN MAY MALFUNCTION. Some of you may say, "well, that's not reliable and I don't want to have to worry about that". To you I will say, "You should do this anyway before loading the magazine to ensure you are being safe, and I would rather pay half the amount for a gun that will shoot twice as good as yours any day of the week". No kidding- at 10 yards, I kept groups under 3" with cheap ammo, all the way up to expensive Ruger ARX concealed carry rounds.

Second note: This gun is no joke. Much more comfortable than any other .380 pocket pistol, aside from maybe the Sig P238. Shot 54 grain ammo and 96 grain ammo and recoil feels exactly like larger frame handguns. I have big hands, and still able to get all but my pinky on the frame. Beaver tail will ensure your hands don't get "bit" when the slide is on its way back.

Third note: This gun disappears in your pocket. Absolutely outstanding for what the gun was created for.

Fourth note: This gun just looks better than other .380's. While true beauty is found on the inside (this gun is sound there too), it's nice to have a good looking gun in your hands as opposed to one that looks like a storm trooper's.

I am very satisfied with this gun and if one ever pops back up for the same price, I would consider getting another for my wife. I hope this review helps you, I know for me it was hard to make a decision but I would take this gun over any other .380 now that I have it in my hands.

Side note: Buds was awesome- great communication, shipping, and service. Will not buy anywhere else online ever.

Great shooter right out of the box. Wouldn't fire a good portion of the Berdan primer monarchs on first strike. Boxer primed brass case Perfectas were flawless. I went through 195 rounds with no FTF or FTE. Great smooth gun.

This gun is the best feeling 380 I found. It's accurate. I really hoped this would be a good gun. Unfortunately, it is NOT. I've never seen a semi auto jam and mis-feed as much as this one. I tried different brands of ammo. It's been cleaned, oiled, polished, etc. FTF rate is just totally unacceptable. And when it jams it's difficult to clear as it doesn't have a slide lock, almost need 3 hands. Lots of bad reviews on the internet, wish I had done more research. It's a shame. It's nice looking, great feeling in the hand, and accurate WHEN it actually works. I would NOT recommend this gun at all.

I've had this gun (gen 2, s/n# ZG series) for 1.5 years now and have intentionally TRIED to get a failure out of it. I've tried everything reasonable. No F2F, FTE, stove pipes, hang fire, nor the typical bad ejections.
Not sure how or why mine hasn't failed like others. But one thing I do with ALL firearms is clean and deburr them before shooting. I did notice a slight area of concern where the throat of the chamber meets the top bullet guide. There was a sharp edge the would hang on to a casing when SLOWLY entering a round into battery. I carefully polished this area until it was smooth to the touch and eliminated the hang ups on the casing. Not sure if this helped my cause.. but I haven't seen any of the typical results that others have mentioned.
I wear tailored or near tailored pants often, and this gun an extra mag is my carry choice in an appendix carry-like system. Or a backup in a rear pocket holster.
Glad I didn't listen to ALL the bad reviews.

Better than expected. Easy to break down once you get the hang of it. Quick shipping to FFL after echeck cleared. Good concealed carry option. Fired 50 rounds of mixed new ammo. Several hangups from failure to feed to fail to eject. Next range session 100 rounds of mixed new ammo produced no malfunctions. This gun has a break in period. For the sale price, caliber, and size, you can't go wrong. Would not hesitate to buy another one. Only ball ammo was shot.....

I really wanted this gun to work. I love the look and feel, it's a total baby clone of the G42. Unfortunately, just can't get it to fire reliably. I wanted to give it the 100 round break in, which I did, but it's almost gotten worse by the time I got to 100. I've cleaned it several times for good measure. It jams in so many ways it should be sponsored by smuckers. The most common is failure to go into battery, it starts up the feed ramp, I don't think it's a feed ramp issue, but it jams before it gets in the chamber. The feed ramp seems pretty polished from the factory but obviously other things are not working right. I've also tried it with two different factory mags, so if it's weak springs in the mags, then they both are weak. Sometimes it nosedives in the mag. Sometimes after firing, the slide would fully cycle without even picking up a round! I'd pull trigger, hear click, nothing. Pull back slide, nothing's in the chamber. Tap and rack. When manually racking a round, sometimes it gets caught on the firing pin sticking out. What's worse, whenever it would jam, it would severely jam to the point it was extremely hard to get the mag to drop or pull the side back. So forget about holding it upside down and just cycling the slide to clear a jam in a panic situation. Once it's jammed, you might as well throw it at the bad guy because it won't be of much other use. I read about all the problems with Gen 1, I bought the gun hoping Gen 2 would be fixed, but I was wrong. I so wanted to love this gun, it would be perfect in terms of size and feel if it were only reliable. But I can't even use it at the range, much-less as a carry gun. I've given up on it, time to buy a competitor which is actually cheaper on here and has a lot better reviews. Sorry Diamondback, I want to love you, but can't. The slide even pinched my hand really good and made it bleed trying to clear a jam. I almost had to put my hand in front of the muzzle to rack the side to clear the jam which was a little scary. I'm not sure if it's worth $50 in shipping plus maybe $20 transfer fee to get it back to send it in and have it fixed under warranty. If I do get it fixed, I'll probably sell it. Cool looking gun that just isn't ready or prime time. You're buying a prototype at this point, hopefully Gen 3 will finally get it right someday.

Don't waste your time and money with this item..Right off the bat, it failed to ignite my GECO ammo...None of them !! This batch of ammo worked fine in all my other 380's...Took it to the factory and they replaced the firing pin and pin spring..They test fired it with Blazer aluminum case ammo and claimed no problems..I have not tried it yet with my GECO ammo again but I would say based on the other reviews you see, stay away from this pistol and save your money for a better one
