Very unhappy nwith this mag. For it being a name brand it is poorly made and won't feed a round because the plastic is molded and hangs on every shell.

I cannot recommend this product. Initially it would not even fit Into the gun. After a lot of filing in relieving the edge of the magazine at least 1/8 of an inch it finally clicked in and locked. It would not feed. Total waste of time and money.

I am returning both, can barley get 20 rounds in and it dents the brass casings , and followers get stuck , I have heard mags are hit and miss . But this is UNEXSCUSABLE for a factory brand new magazine , I have just bought a new Remington 597 from buds . I'm not happy.....not just one ,but two bad mags in one order.

These rifle always struggled to feed rounds when these larger magazines were fully loaded in comparison to the short 10 round mags, but I went out to shoot one weekend and all three of the long magazines had broken springs in them. After retiring these I began using the smaller ones, and discovered they fed every kind of 22lr I could get my hands on while the larger ones were very picky and would misfeed often with bulk lower velocity ammo. If you predominantly use these longer magazines for the 597 I would recommend to at least keep a couple short factory ones on hand.

This mag is poor quality. It is entirely made of plastic and because of it, the rifle jams when it tries to feed. Do not recommend.

This magazine split at the top seam during the 2nd usage, poor bonding of the polymer. I could only load 25rds at a time since it was very tight when loading 30rds.

A:No not really I owned some maybe 10yrs ago and these mags are basically bonded or glued together, some of the most horribly made magazines I have ever seen in my 40yrs of shooting, they never worked properly if at all. And If you did take it apart you would probably have to glue them back together. Even Promags would be better and thats saying a lot. I don't shoot this gun anymore so other than Pro Mag I do not know of any other brand for it sorry. Stay safe.See 3 more answers |
