I installed this in a .308 and took all of 5 minutes. Mag retention is much better than the mag in my Mini in 6.5 Grendel.

I bought this for my Howa 1500 Walnut Hunter chambered in 7mm-08 Remington. Price seemed right but the quality of this conversion kit is very poor. It is made with a very cheap looking black plastic, not durable or even an attractive addition to the rifle. It operates as it should but made a nice rifle look cheap. Will reinstall the original bottom metal.

got my new conversion today but it did not fit my gun i have a Howa 1500 short i exam it closely the magazine was good but the conversion was to long and, it didn't even fit the magazine clip cut. I cut it shorter to fit the clip then plastic welled it , but it works i feel i shouldn't have to do that extra work.....so i rate this poor

I put this on a Howa 1500 in .243 with a synthetic stock. Installation was simple and it fit like a glove. The magazine fits nice and tight. I've run four full magazines through the gun (not many I admit, but this is a hunting rifle I don't plan on shooting it tons) and it has worked flawlessly-- no misfeeds, no jams.

Haven't had a chance to hi the range with it yet but fit and function seem pretty good. Install was easy, magazine locks up tight and feeds smoothly. Definitely a better option than loading individual rounds between the scope, mount, and action and easier to keep a hold of loose rounds instead of opening the floor plate.
