Instant the bullet impacts your quarry, the red tip initiates rapid expansion, which is controlled by the jacket's inner grooves. I haven't gotten to use them yet but I expected them to work just fine sst buy hornady is one of the best

Bullets work as advertised. Used with Hornady brass I had excellent results in both accuracy and hunting.
