I just received this gun yesterday so I have not fired it but when I opened the case, I was surprised. So much so that I thought I had received the wrong model. The grips are almost black. There may be a little brown in the background but for all intensive purposes they are black-black. I have owned this same pistol and it had brown grips- shouldn't have sold it. If I had wanted black grips I would have bought another Glock. Anyway the trigger seems gritty but I am sure after shooting it for awhile, it will smooth out and I will replace the grips with something later. LIke I said, disappointed in the looks but I haven't fired it yet.

Incredible pistol. The weight of the 1911 in 9mm, cancels out almost all recoil. It feels great in the hand and has not had a misfeed in over 300 rounds. I have smaller Sigs, so I knew it would be a winner. Indeed it was.

I own several 1911's (Kimber, Colt, Springfield, Para, etc). Hands down this is one of the finest I have owned. The gun came de-horned and the fit and finish were second to none. The price is very fair considering the stainless finish and the fit. I have a couple of STI 2011's and feel the quality is comparable (although this gun is not designed to be a race style gun - just making a quality reference). 1911 purists will shun the 9mm chambering, but my intent was to use this gun in competition. The action is smooth right out of the box and the accuracy is exceptional as well. The feed ramp built into the barrel is a nice addition as well. I have put a couple of hundred rounds through the gun so far and it has ran flawlessly. (I have not tried any JHP ammo, but I think the feed ramp will alleviate any feed issues). The external extractor is a new feature for me, but it appears to be an "upgrade" from a standard 1911 internal type. Again, that is a matter of opinion. Overall, a great gun!

First, great customer service from Buds. I have bought dozens of firearms from Buds, and have had a good experience very time. As for the pistol, it's okay for a 1911 under $1,000. There are a lot of machine marks inside and out. The trigger is heavy for a "match" gun. The slide to frame fit is tight, but not smooth, and the barrel bushing is very loose. The grip safety, slide stop, and trigger are a little sloppy as well. On the positive side, the barrel is tightly fitted. Overall, it's significantly nicer than a budget 1911 like a Ruger, but is a far cry from a high end 1911 like a Dan Wesson Valor. It's actually a lot nicer than I make it sound...just not cosmetic perfection for the gun snob.

This gun is truly a great firearm. Many 9mm 1911's have issues with feeding and/or extracting, but 150 rounds so far and not a single issue with the factory magazines or Wilson ETMs. Recoil is SUPER light which is awesome because I bought this to use in ESP division of IDPA. Overall a great firearm. Buds was fantastic as always.

Very impressed with the fit and finish of this Sig 1911. More impressive is its flawless operation and accuracy. It likes to hit the red dot in the center of the target and does it with gusto. As an aside, Bud's was great yet again. The trade-in process was smooth and fair and the shipment speedy, as usual. The entire process was the way you always want...good product, good price, shipped quickly. Great work Bud's.

A:Rick, Both great guns. The Gold Cup does cost more for a reason. Better trigger. Frame to slide fit is tight on both but Gold Cup is smoother slide to frame. The Match Elite's barrel bushing is not as tight. Little wiggle in the barrel bushing fit. Grip safety is loose and wiggles on the Match Elite. Buy them both.See 3 more answers | -

A:The only one who could answer this question would be Sig, I'd recommend calling their customer support number 1 (603) 418-8102.
