Received this weapon about a week and half after I ordered it. I was concerned that the twist rate was not what was specified in the description, 1:7 due to another review stating it was a 1:9. I talked to a rep who contacted Core 15 and let me know that it would be either or due to them changing the twist rate at a later time. As of yet, I have not been able to take this weapon to the range but I am completely satisfied with this weapon.

Ordered the gun Tuesday after Memorial day and picked up today (6 days total) which is pretty quick, but got email from Bud's today that the gun has shipped?? Maybe I'll get two? Anyways, fast shipping and great product. I have only fired 25 rds, but very happy with the gun so far - love the trigger.

I looked at several different rifles before deciding on this one and I am not disapointed. Fit and finish on most of the weapon are great. Upper and lower receivers are tight with no play. Only complaint is the stock; it looks like a comerical stock on a mil spec buffer tube. There is a lot of slop between the stock and tube. It locks in place and moves easily, but it moves around (wobbles). I was going to replace the stock anyway so it wasn't an issue for me, but the stock does not fit snugly on the buffer tube. After I cleaned the shipping oil from it I took it to the range. Including sighting in, I fired 200 rounds without a problem. The railed foregrip is great. I had never had one on a rifle before and adding a bipod, or other acc is easy. I would definately recommend this firearm.

This Core 15 rifle has been great. I'm not an experienced rifle shooter but this rifle makes me look good. I recently used it in a local carbine match and it performed flawless. All I have for sights is a Magpul back-up. I installed the rear sight and took it to the range. With a little adjustment to the left I was good to go. The 1:9 twist barrel is just fine for what I will use this rifle for. Thanks Core 15 and Buds for producing and selling a quality rifle with out busting the bank.

I bought this rifle 10/18/14 and have have put around 350 rounds threw it the cheap steel cased tulammo an federal 100cnt boxes an have had 1 ftf but think I was due to the fact that the mag it came with was dented so probley the mags fault not the guns over all great buy its a very solid feeling gun accuracy is as expected awesome done a lot of business with buds and will continue...very smooth transaction an had it within a week and my ffl made it just as easy (stixs bait and tackle here in page AZ)

This is an "OK" rifle. the mag that came with it is a cheap aluminum throw-away mag. one of the biggest concerns was the charging handle would not come out of the upper initially unless using alot of force, i had to dremel down the notches for it to be inserted easily. called CS they sent me a new CH when i was advised that sometimes i may have to "hammer out" the charging handle which i thought was quite peculiar. the gas key staking is nothing close to other bcg's i have seen. after a few sessions at the range the mags would fall out while firing which was another big issue. i had to slightly bend the mag catch -slightly- so the mags wouldnt vibrate loose. im assuming these problems were since they were out of spec. the only feeding issues i had were with the factory mag. other than the problems i had initially with the charging handle and mag catch the gun runs fine. slight wobble from upper and lower, not as tight as other reviewers made it seem. overall i would rate this rifle a 7/10. i mainly bought this rifle since they market the lifetime warranty very well. until i learned alot of companies offer lifetime warranty on there rifles. IMHO, i couldnt recommend this to a friend based on the little problems i had. i would spend ~150-200 more to get a colt. or just buy a complete upper and lower for much better quality. if you do get this rifle, their customer service is decent. Justin is good at returning emails. i ended up fixing my problems at home if your ok using basic tools. oh and i have only used wolf steel cased ammo 2see this rifle could handle it. it ate them up very well. so if you like to use cheap ammo. this rifle will take it no problem.

I have shot .22's and shotguns most of my life but this was my first AR platform. The price point has me thinking that the quality would be less, in terms of tolerances and general functionality. The upper and lower were as tight as you could get. No play whatsoever. Usually in the 700 dollar range, you wont get a forward assist, picitanny rail and a dust cover. I decided that I would give this a try. I really expected a less than stellar rifle. The only cheap thing on it might be the butt stock but this is easily rectified to something stronger. This rifle will be used and abused due to my training. I went to a Tactical Carbine class to learn the basics of this platform. the only problem I had was for a short minute, I had problems seating the mag. The instructor quickly adjusted the Mag Release and I had no further problems. In fact, I had no jams and no double feeds or ejection issues. The real kicker was that the only thing I did out of the box was put a scalped rear steel sight on it and throw a bit of lube on the bolt. I expected a cluster. Again, it performed like a champ and I qualified easily as Marksman on the US Army test only two points away from sharp shooter. Once zeroed, it goes where you point it. Sturdy build with alot of potential for additional grips, sling, sights etc. I will be shooting thousands of rounds over the next year and for an out of the box , literally through a day of several hundred rounds and little to no pre maintenance, I don't know what else you could get for 700 to match it.
