First I wanna say thank you Buds for your layaway program!!! I wouldn't be able to collect and enjoy my hobbies like I do if it wasn't for buds top notch customer service and layaway. This is my 6th Buds firearm purchase and everyone has went through without a hitch and arrived as advertised, for a very fair price.
Now to my new core 15 scout, which was at my FFL dealers the very next day after making my final payment. Thanks for the quick turnaround. I haven't got to test fire it but I have broke it down inspected and cleaned it and it looks lIke excellent quality for the price. The parts used by the manufacturer are the same as other rifles which go for 1000's of dollars. It is well put together and the only thing I plan on doing is upgrading the furniture and throwing my eotech holographic scope and I will be done. But until I fire it all I have to say is, if your looking for an ar15 made from top quality parts for a low price, this is without a doubt the way to go.

I and a friend of mine each bought one of these this past week. It was their first AR, they didn't want to spend a lot of money, was going to scope it, and this seemed to be a good buy. There isn't much information on here about the specifications, and I had contacted Core 15 as this model isn't listed on their website, for some specs. I didn't get information from Core15 that completely matched exactly what I got, and both rifles came in the same so the current specs are as follows: Enhanced trigger guard (not fixed as was indicated to me by Core15), mine came with a solid trigger guard, while my friends came with one that had a slot length ways in it. The barrel was government profile with a 1:7 twist (core15 had told me they were 1:9). The low profile gas block isn't pinned, just uses standard set screws, which I consider a plus as it would be easy to free float should a user wish to do so. Both rifles functioned perfectly out of the box with only an initial clean and lube. Both came with a Hexmag 30 round magazine (Would have preferred magpul, but works non the less). The upper receiver has the white etched T marks along with the new 'Core' name etched in white near the charging handle. No tooling marks on the BCG, and no brass filings upon firing the rifle building up in the barrel extension or on the bolt (I've had several new rifles that until they were 'broke in' produced brass filings for the first few rounds). Mil Spec Buffer tube. Triggers had to be THE cleanest feeling Mil Spec triggers I've ever received in a factory rifle and both rifles tested between 6-6.5 lb pull. IMHO this is an excellent rifle for anyone wanting to get in to the AR15 scene. As always Buds was fast in shipping, ordered on the weekend, at my FFL the following Tuesday. Both I and my friend are pleased with our purchases.

All in all the weapon shoots great and is quite accurate. The upper & lower fit together great, very tight. There were a couple blemishes on both the upper and lower but nothing to freak out about. The butt-stock is very cheesy and loose so it will definitely have to be changed but for the generous price that Buds let them go for you cant beat it.

I've had this carbine for a little over a year and I'm still totally happy with it! The reason I went with core15 is because of the price. I'm the type of guy who likes to customize my guns, so the more I save on the gun, the more I can spend on fun stuff for it. I've added an eotech 512, an insight m6 tactical light with green laser, a magpul miad grip, a magpul acs stock, a magpul vertical grip, magpul mbus sights, a 13 inch free float rail, and a noveske/ magpul ambi safety. The only thing I've changed internally is the charging handle, which is now a bravo company gunfighter ambi mod 4. All the rest of the internals stayed stock. Why? Because they work excellently! Honestly, this thing is just as we'll fitting as more well known names such as bushmaster, windham, and colt. Yes, that's right colt fan boys, this is just as well built. Believe it or not, most of these manufacturers use the same uppers and lowers, all cast from the same foundry. The machining is perfect, the finish is flawless, and it shoots every time I pull the trigger and hits everything I aim at. Even with a cmmg .22 converson I bought for it, it works perfectly. Another added bonus is the lifetime warranty through core15/ good time outdoors. Buy one of these. You won't go wrong.
