My purchase of this rifle was based on its reputation and price. It is made in Japan by Howa for Weatherby. Super well built. My friend has the same rifle in blue steel but in 300 weatherby magnum. I shot his and opted for 300 Win Mag instead and chose stainless steel. My stock is crazy camo - somewhat striking and hard to look at. Stock is well shaped and hard, no soft rubber inserts like my buddy’s. I may paint the stock in my own design camo scheme. Hmm what else? Oh yeah , Bud’s is the only place online to buy a gun from!
