Franklin Armory has designed the worlds first ever gas piston system rimfire AR style rifle. This unique firearm is able to shoot the .17 Winchester Super Magnum Rimfire cartridge which can generate velocities up to 3,000fps. The engineering team at Franklin Armory developed this design in order to run safer and more reliable thank to the use of a rotating locking bolt and piston design. Lets dive into some of the other features that make this rifle special.
First off this particular version features the Franklin Armory Libertas Lower Receiver as the starting point for the build. A flat top optics ready upper receiver is used in order to provide you with incredible flexibility when it comes time to mount an optic. The 20" full contour barrel features a 1:9 Right Hand along with an 11 degree target crown for maximum accuracy. The bolt carrier is proprietary and features a salt bath nitride finish for enhanced durability even during the longest of range sessions. Rounding out the list of features is the Custom tuned trigger, Ergo Ambidextrous Sure Grip Pistol Grip, and the Magpul MOE fixed stock.
