The model DB-15 is a 223 Remington/5.56 Nato. Barrel is 16 4140 Chrome-Moly, M4 Contour. Barrel rate is 1 in 9 twist. Lower receiver is made of forged 7075 T6 Aluminum. Upper receiver is a A3 flattop forged 7075 T6 aluminum. Stock is M4 commercial tube. Comes with no sights.

Recently received my DB15(for the second time). For the price point it’s fairly decent although the rifle has a lot of factory defects and machining marks all over the rifle . When I originally went to pick up this rifle from my FFL it had two huge dents on the front freefloat rail and the rail was slightly crooked. I then contacted buds and they had a replacement sent within two weeks . When the replacement finally arrived all seemed well , until I returned home and began to take a closer look. All the holes in the receiver had scratches and burrs on them. Then when I field stripped the rifle the inside was a similar story with rough machining marks and aluminum burrs (and this is all before I even got a chance to shoot the rifle ). Really wouldn’t expect this from a rifle claiming to be made in the US. Although when I did take it to the range even with all the cosmetic issues it shot fairly well . I ran 200 rounds of some Hornady frontier 55grain ammunition with not a single malfunction... so Im sort of on the fence about this rifle.

Put 120 rds through it the first day with a mix of steel and brass case, no issues. Loving this gun so far.

This is the first AR I've owned, but I've shot plenty in my day. This Diamondback DB-15 FDE is quite solid IMO, and is a great mid priced starter AR. I took it out to the range this weekend and put about 350 rounds through it with no failures at all. Ammo was new and reman'd freedom munitions, .223 and 5.56 AP. Again, no issues at all which was a great surprise. I was initially hesitant to purchase an AR from this particular manufacturer considering their history with pistols, but I definitely made the right choice for my budget. Its not the most expensive AR but it gets the job done for my shooting needs. I added some Troy Industries micro iron sights to this bad boy, and it was good to go. No fancy red dot, scope, fore-grip, or any other fancy accessory. My only gripe with this firearm is the trigger. Its very stiff, and not the smoothest I've ever felt, but again, it gets the job done. Maybe with time it'll get better, but I might drop in an aftermarket trigger at some point. Because of the trigger, I gave this weapon a 4 star rating. If your not sure about this rifle, just go for it, and you won't be disappointed.

I own several AR's and this is one of my favorites. Diamondback put together a tough straight shooter when they made this one. Will buy another soon!!! As always Buds made it a smooth transaction!!!!

Wanted to wait till I was able to put some range time in before writing a review for this AR. Well I've got 300 rounds through it now and feel comfortable enough to say THIS THING ROCKS... only negative thing I have found is it seems to be picky about the mags it will feed from, TangoDown and Promag are nothing but trouble, several FTF and FTE from multiple mags from these makers. Nothing against them, they work in my M&P this rifle doesn't seem to care for them, stick with Magpul or GI mags and you are good to go. Even ran some Tula steel case through it from Magpul mags without a problem. The handguard gets alittle warm after a few mag dumps, but no worries if you wear gloves or use a vertical foregrip, but like I said this is after rapid fire mag dumps. As usual Buds service was excellent. All in all I love this gun, would buy 100 of them if I had the money, highly recommend to anyone looking for a great AR that wont break the bank.

This AR is awesome!!! Just as described matches all Magpul FDE and my Ergo FDE grip I can't wait to shoot it.
