H&R Buffalo Classic rifles are classics to the core, modeled after the Frank Wesson tip up rifles that were first made in Worcester, Massachusetts in the 1850s. Traditional styling and aiming stability were foremost in its design. Offered in 45-70 Gov’t., its 32" midweight barrel helps this big bore cartridge develop full velocity and accuracy potential. It also provides the necessary sighting radius for long range matches. The Williams receiver sight is complemented by a traditional globe style target front sight with eight aperture inserts.

Amazing fun rifle from the past! Iron sights are still important to know how to use and this fine rifle will help. 6" group at 600 yds should be easy.

I purchase this as my secret weapon, it is a long range shooter with a 32" barrel. Love it. Not for rookie shooters I feel.

The rifle itself is in good order, took it to the range this past weekend and fired commercial and black powder rounds through it. The walnut furniture is very nice with good checkering although there is a cosmetic stain on the stock (very small). Every thing seems fine except at first there was no rear sight in the carton. When I got it home from the FFL, I found the rear sight in the carton but there are no screws to install it on the rifle.

Have not shot yet, but a very nice looking rifle that feels right and is well balanced. Great peep sight system. The checkered walnut gives it class. Looking forward to the big boom and kick. Buds service top shelf as expected.

I bought this rifle to shoot black powder handloads. It is a quality rifle on a proven, simple design. The sights are fanastic. The receiver is drilled and tapped for for a scope base which I bought from Amazon. I also bought a cheapo slip-on recoil pad made by Allen, also from Amazon. For the price and features, the Buffalo Classic is hard to beat.

Excellent price for an absolutely wonderful weapon. A tack driver at one hundred yards out of the box. Felt recoil is pretty minimal with the length of barrel. If you like single shot rifles and the precision they deliver you will certainly not be disappointed. Buds service was remarkable excellent communication through the whole buying process and gun arrived in perfect condition. Thank you

Buds Service was exceptional as usual. My only issue is that the front sight was loose and had to be set when I unpacked it. Otherwise the gun was in great shape and arrived promptly. I have shot about 20 rounds of TenX ammo and the grouping is not very good, but it is too early to really tell. I have not had a chance to shoot from a bench and really see what it will do. The other problem is 18 of the 20 rounds misfired and had to be shot twice to get an ignition. I just recocked and shot again and they fired each time on the second shot. The primers look like they are set right but this might be an ammo problem.

A:Unfortunately buds doesn't plan to get any in anytime soon because they don't have the notify me when available option up and I can't find these in stock anywhere. You might get lucky checking gunbr0ker, they're a site that allows private owners and small shops to sell their products so they usually have rare and hard to find firearms and accessories. Sorry but hope this helps. -

A:John, this will be a tough run down Sir. You will likely find one by searching on large gun and accessory sites like (6)un (8)roker, Guns International and Armslist as discontinued and hard to find firearms and accessories show up for sale by private individuals and small shops. Just replace (6) & (8) with G & B. ------ gunsinternational.com/See 1 more answer | -

A:Hi Howard, Yes these were discontinued awhile back unfortunately. You should also search Armslist, Bun Groker "just switch the B & G" as hard to find items show up frequently by private individuals and vendors on these gun sites.See 6 more answers |
